Grant and I got up early on Sunday, picked up a ZipCar around the corner from my place...

Grant and Rachel were all the way in the back seat...

Despite only getting a few hours of sleep, we managed to pick up the van and be heading beachward before noon. Here's me, Meredith, Grant, Rachel and David and Miye in the back! Rented van, wooooooo!

Hip hop, horaaaaaaay!

Here's Siege (aka - Clayton James Cubitt) the Grizza and me in our rental car leaving the city.

Happy Grant in the backseat cold chilling.

Siege reviewing the night's less-than-spectacular results while I try to make Blue Steel faces.

Fatty half-heartedly rocked out in the backseat...

"Arrrrrrgh, matey!"

Here's the Grizza and I all gussied up headed out to Strong Island in our rental car.

Grant (with brand new Travis Bickle mohawk!) who was babysitting the Fatty's car while we were in Texas, was rad enough to save me $30 bones by picking me up at JFK. Thanks again to Fatty, Sarah and Caryn! I had the bestest time ever.

After I'd finished documenting our facial hair, we headed back to the house, showered (and I shaved, thank god), packed up and hit the road to head back down to Los Angeles (to attend the surprise birthday party that Jordana had put together for him. Shhhh!).

After food we went back to the ranch and relaxed. Then later that night we drove to the nearest theater (like 45 minutes away) to see the midnight showing of the third installment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. (Bonus points to Grant for flipping the bird while pulling a Pomodoro Guy face! Noice!).

Saturday morning we woke up, double checked our packed bags, thanked Grant's parents for their hospitality, and hit the road for Heathrow.

On the way home, we stopped for a little McDonalds drive thru action.

...and headed for the nearby shore town of Leigh-on-Sea. (Beyond the lovely scenery, the best part of the trip was the Abott & Costello-esque conversation between Grant and the Fatty where Fatty thought the town was called "Leon's Sea.")

After a 90-minute, white-knuckled drive in the rain (on the wrong side of the road)...

We bid our lovely condo a fond farewell and piled into our sweet, lil' rental one last time.

Aw, yeah. Let's hear it for culture.

After a quick and delicious McBreakfast (mmmmm) here we are on the West Side highway tearing out of town. West Side, boyeeee.

After finishing the entire CONQUISTIDOR, I made the mistake of thinking that it would be a good idea to get dessert. Just my suggestion made everyone else start burping. But then when I saw there was a Cinnabon place, I couldn't resist. I ended up getting a large Cinnabon and a hot chocolate, thinking that we could all share it. Everyone else was too full to even touch the Cinnabon - so I just ate the whole thing (whoops!).

Oh my god - I don't think I've ever been so full in my life. I overate to such a degree that I actually broke into a sweat (My stomach was quickly beginning to understand why my dinner was called "The Conquistidor"). I spend the car ride home trying not to throw up everytime Nina's car hit a bump in the road.

Grant and Josh earned the friendship bracelets I made them for helping me move. These are two swell friends.

We tried to pose all tough and look like movers from the 1930's. I think the only thing that happened is that Grant managed to look like an ostrich.
