And here's Isabella "Tookie" Robertson, the woman who came up for the idea for the surprise party, and who also ruined the surprise by inviting Grant to his own surprise party. HAHAHA!
Here she is again acting out another "Star Performer." This one was for "I Shot the Sheriff." See? That's her shooting the sheriff (But, yo, straight up...she did not shoot no deputy.)
Too bad living in NYC makes everywhere else seem weird. Around 7:30ish we pulled off the road in northeastern CT to get some dinner. Every place we stopped at was completely mobbed with people. We finally settled on Friendly's (which beyond being filled with a "not-so-Friendly" waitstaff, also had a 25 minute wait for a table). We elected to do the "smart" thing and eat outside. So instead of only waiting 25 minutes inside, we sat outside, freezing our asses off for 50 minutes waiting for our food...all the while listening to somebody's frigging car alarm go off in the parking lot. In the words of Isabella, "Oh, for Frank's sake! Turn that gosh darn thing off!"
After walking around all day we decided to head back home to NYC (instead of driving 90 miles in the opposite direction back to Tookies place). Nap time in the park must not have had any effect on either Grant or Tookie....cus the motherfuckers slept practically the entire 5 hour drive home. Fack!
Tookie totally tricked Grant into letting her have the front seat both ways by telling him that the backseat makes her feel carsick. HAHAHAHA! I can't believe he fell for that one. That's like the oldest "make you sit in the backseat" trick in the book. See what happens when you grow up without an older sibling?
Turns out that Grant was too scared outside in the dark by himself to take the time to find some dry kindling. So after his "girlyfire" went out I had to go out and find some wood to get the real fire going (but I still let him pose in front of it like he had something to do with it).
When we got there, the house was still shut down for the winter. We managed to get the electricity on, but Tookie told us that there wasn't any running water...so she filled up a pitcher of water from the lake. (And after a night of drinking lake water and fearing that we'd contract "Beaver Fever," we realized the next morning that the water was on the whole time.)
Bar #3 - 7B, 2:47am: Okay, after dropping Melissa off (regrettably, alone...she opted not to make-out with that girl) we headed over to 7B to see if the Nerve crew was still kicking up any life and we found this. Jesus.
