We met Geordon out there... ...and Mandy and her friend came out too! Leigh and Geordon came out to meet us. The beach! The beach wasn't too crowded! We got off at our normal stop in Far Rockaway... Later that afternoon we took the A train to Beach 67th Street. Far Rockaway Beach! 7 out of 10! A couple minutes later, the rest of our group returned from a walk and decided to get in the mix. Going for 10! 5 out of 7! Getting there! 3 out of 7. 300% improvement! The larger your group is, the more difficult it is to capture everyone's feet in the air when you're taking a jumping photo. 1 out of 7 = FAIL! Oh, summer. We walked down to the water to check out the absolutely massive (for NYC) waves that were starting to break. Check out the curl and spray! Oh man. Every summer comes to an end. September sneaks up on you and you need to fight fall off a little bit longer with as many more trips to the beach as you can get in before the weather turns! Mandy and Brother Lawrence. On Saturday, a whole bunch of us went back out to Far Rockaway for a beach day... Usually we go to the western, more deserted part of Rockaway Beach, but this time we went to the main beach so that Pauly could surf. Handsome beach kids. The next morning, Nina and I got up super-early and took the A train out to Far Rockaway. It was completely and totally deserted and it was AWESOME. Crazy that this is beach is a 45-minute, $2-dollar subway ride away from Manhattan, right? I entertained myself by throwing carrots and watching the seagulls viciously fight over them, only for the winning bird to pick it up every time and realize that it wasn't even something good to eat. Birds + Carrots = Comedy Gold! (Yes, I know that I'm retarded). These huge military-transport helicopters kept flying back and forth in front of the beach. On Sunday Meredith and I went out to Far Rockaway to say goodbye to summer! The beach was practically deserted! We ate fruit. ...and we teamed up for this incredibly hot photo. (I don't know if you know this, but I'm going to let you in on a huge secret: WE ARE HUGE FUCKING DORKS.) I took KT's tiny, velour hoodie and put on a fashion show for Siege. Sassy!
