Around 3:30pm, we biked back so I could catch the 4pm bus back into Vancouver! ...two bikes between the three of us! We set our bikes by the lake and got our frisbee on! Auto timer! Haha. Grant is really good at riding a bike with another person on it! A little after 2pm, we decided to head back. Buddies. ...with a wooden foot path around it. ...we were both starting to regret our decision to wear shorts. Hahah. Grant up top. The views are just unbelievable. ...we decided we should probably get some hot chocolates before setting out into the wild. ...mmm, home fries. ...some kind of English dessert that was cookies, fruit and cream. It was awesome. Back at the homestead that evening, Grant whipped up... ...and afterwards headed over to a hotel to meet up with Matt and his friends. We headed out back to enjoy the hot tub... Headed in. They also had a massive tire swing! They had a swing set with really long chains. It was surreal to swing back and forth in front of the huge mountains. ...and enjoyed the view! So relaxed and natural! ...a platform that overlooks a few of the waterfalls! The path leads up to... The path up to the falls winds through the pines... Nothing is better than when you're a little overtired and things get silly. Hahaha. Hot licks. On Sunday morning we woke up... ...like this. Then later that afternoon, we caught the bus up to Whistler! ...Mexican brunch with Hana! After the park, we headed over to the subway (translink?)... We stopped by an awesome... ...we strolled around... Haha. ...and met up with Hana & Erin. We went to a really nice middle-eastern meal... ...we started biking back to the apt. ...and got freshly made donuts (holyshit)! I like this picture. Look out, giant bird! ...Grant didn't tell me... Back on the road... ...and some light apps. Just a couple of SUPER MACHO guys having a few manly drinks... ...Grant indicated that there were often women sunbathing sans tops! Oh, Canada! Crazy, right? Check out the little pineapple-shaped island in the distance! Lion's Gate Bridge. Haha. So many cool parks. There are bike paths everywhere. ...FOR ADVENTURE! We watched pontoon planes land in the harbor over and over. Oh, go on. Congrats on the place, Grant & Aki! ...Grant & Aki's apartment in Vancouver! A little before 5pm, I packed up all my stuff and went to wait for the bus back to Vancouver. Thanks for everything, Grant! I had an awesome time! Last run of the day. Later that afternoon it was snowing near the top of the mountain again. Grant leading the way through. ...and there was another foot or so of fresh snow! Grant, Matt and me. ...hot tub we could "borrow!" The snow was so deep and drifty. If didn't keep your speed up, or dipped your nose at all... ...you'd end up instantly stuck knee-deep. (When this happens, it usually means 10 minutes of digging yourself out and hopping over to a place where there's enough of an incline to get moving again!). Stationary tricks! Later that afternoon, we met up with Matt! Then our best David Brents back up the mountain. Grant! Satisfied pizza customers. Haha. About to ride over the edge of the world! I love this photo. Grant and me! After eating, I stopped off to rent gear... There was a Whistler billboard at the airport and you can see Aki and Grant's apartment in the photo they used.
