On Monday morning, Grant came over and we recorded a conversation with his Grandma (Nanny Pam) about Bitcoin! After everyone is done singing Christmas tunes, it pretty much just turns into karaoke. You name a song you want to sing and Frank calls out the chord changes to the rest of the players. Incredible. Holiday party singalongs. <3 Later that evening, I headed out to Brooklyn to attend my favorite holiday party at Frank & Liz's... Met up with Grant afterwards to a celebratory meal and a radio show debriefing! Grant and Kevin came over for a late night hang. Grant came by on Monday night and checked out my new back-gadget ...set up their cold storage hardware wallets. Met up with Grant and his buddy Reggie on Sunday to help them... Odessa lunch with Grant on Wednesday afternoon. After we ate - I took him up to the garage to hand over the truck! Met up with Grant at Odessa (RIP!) to give him the keys to the cabin so he could go up there for a few days. By 1pm on Sunday we'd finished driving the last of the guests down the mountain and then we cleaned up, packed and headed back to NYC. Thanks for coming up to celebrate the cabin with me, everyone! It was nice to be surrounded by people I love to process the bad news about my dad. Jane and Grant in the hammock. ...was waking up to stretch and have some coffee. Everyone that camped outside in tents... Lovely outdoor dinner! Evening hang inside Cynthia's amazing pop-up tent she got for Burning Man. ...ring the edge of the new fancy gravel-circle fire pit! On Sunday morning, Grant drove the Wolverine all over my property.... Chef Breakfast-for-Dinner on the case! After dinner we... ...continued to get our pyro on! ...start burning the cardboard from all the packages! ...we rolled the old fire pit back up the hill so we could... Cabin pancake dinner! Grant got busy in the outdoor kitchen. Bag of Kettle Corn and a Box o Fudge! ...and had some homemade bacon egg and cheese sandwiches! Had our first fire in the fancy new.... On Saturday we were up early to work on our Firepit Improvement Plan! Grant used my new weedwacker to trim the long grass. TWELVE MORE bags of gravel later, we'd finally gotten the firepit coverage we were looking for. ...headed BACK to Home Depot... Then it was time to spread the gravel! Turns out we'd severly misjudged the number of bags of gravel we'd need so we... So satisfying! Getting ready for our present-opening party! ...to load up all the cabin-warming presents that had been delivered from the list that Grant put together and sent around to all my friends. Thanks, Grant! <3 Grant & Eunice ...to pick up coffees and breakfast sandwiches. ...we headed over to my neighbor's garage where all my Amazon cabin-housewarming presents had been delivered! Grant and I hopped in the Wolverine... ...to grab breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Everyone was still conked out. Pretty nice lil Friday. After working up an appetite, we headed over to Man of Kent for dinner. And his friends??? (Lukas' face in this pic! lol). I ended up getting a text from Grant and David who where nearby getting ice cream so I brought Lukas over for a man-hang. So many boxes! Later that evening I met up with Grant to grab a zip car... Stopped by Allen Street to visit Mr Stoddard and he was showing off two free watches he'd just been given. Late night closers! Thanks for coming to my birthday, everyone! I love you! Lol. Grant and Amy. Sad that Loverboy is closed now. I really liked this bar. :( Started August off strong with a ferry ride out to Rockaway Beach with Grant. Beach buddies. Grabbed lunch at Rippers...Grant brought his own fancy gym diet meal. On Saturday, a bunch of us met up to take the train up to Croton for Fatty's birthday! At the end of dinner, Grant serenaded Amanda with his own re-written lyrics to the song "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. It was so funny. "We shared a rock and roll dream and that Gold Street apartment because you didn't say no when I moved in without asking." Lol. Meredith, Grant & Rachel. We closed out karaoke round two... Lol. I love karaoke faces when people are really givin er. So we hopped in a cab and headed over to Sing Sing for round 2! Karaoke birthday gang! Wednesday lunch with Grant at Yucca Cafe. Nice to see so many people I love in the same place. Matt, Jane & Grant She took this group photo of us all! On Sunday a bunch of us met up at Rockaway. Classic texts from G Sto. Grant's reply when I told him it was nice to meet the new gal he was dating. (Maybe a bit of an overshare but made me laugh so hard when I saw this in my photo-stack that I couldn't not include it.) We had been requested to wear stripes! Handsome man navy! Grant came over to give me this housewarming gift for my cabin! ...and we went to a movie in Kip's Bay... Later that evening, I met back up with Grant and Kristina who was in town from California... Happy birthday, Gurj! I love you! <3 I was really excited to surprise her with the fact that I'd scored FRONT ROW seats! (Snaps suspenders) On Thursday night we met up on the West Side because for Gurj's birthday last month I'd surprised her with tickets to see... The cabin has an outdoor stove on the porch. Got treated to an excellent... ...and dragged our cooler of beers down the hill for the innaguaral fire pit night! Grant was excited about stepping into Vermont for the first time! I'M IN VERMONT NOW! I have never owned any land and it was really fun to walk around and get the feel of the property. ...after I'd finished, Grant walked down to the scenic overlook by the fire pit and said "I think this might be the best thing you've done." lol. We finally found our way back to the cabin... On Friday night Grant and I went out with this gang! (Possibly to celebrate David's wedding? Lol)
