Later that evening, I went to see Matt at a UCB show... ...out to Brooklyn... Blue skies, pink twilight clouds and a fingernail moon over the East Village rooftops. Closeup. I lived in Eagleton, Colorado right near the Red Rocks amphitheater from ages 1-3. On the drive over, I called my parents to get the exact address... We had to wait awhile for a table... First day that had a tiny bit of fall chill in the air. While out walking Maddy on Saturday morning... Headed home. Up, up and away! Onward home. ...the lovely outdoor world! The moon was huge in the sky and the house kept getting... ... smaller and smaller as I wandered further and further away. I eventually found my way to the barn and sat inside on the barn floor staring at the full moon in the sky and mirrored down on the pond in front of me. Suddenly, everything made sense for the first time. On Friday I was taking a picture of the sun over a building. Walked home with a belly full of pizza. On Saturday Maddy and I went uptown... Strange brushstrokes. Beautiful clouds over the East Village. Walking the hound. Took the backroads home. Twilight Dragon or phoenix? Wings in the sky. We came bearing beers. East Village sky. Afternoon skies over Flatiron. East Village twilight. Wispy skies. East Village skies. More working in the park and later that evening... Boarding our plane via the tarmac, 7am. Sun rays on the ride home. Woke up to a cloudy January 1st
