tagged together in 36 photos food + jeet On Friday night Meredith and Gurj came over! We had dinner at my place... On Thursday night we met up on the West Side because for Gurj's birthday last month I'd surprised her with tickets to see... ...for dim sum! After supper... Gurj came over Monday night for an Empanada party! ...for FRIED PICKLES and fruity DRANKS! When Hardee's is the only walkable choice! Oh yeah, Alabama! On Thursday afternoon I met up with Gurj on the Upper West Side to celebrate her birthday! I set up my new tripod and played around with my new remote trigger. Meredith & Gurj came over and we feasted on Organic Grill. Tiny's Giant Sandwich. So many lasagnas. Friday Vietnamese sandwich conference with the Bassmeister General! <3 Spent Sunday getting in a pre-birthday hang with this lovely and talking about the ever-present feeling of "OK, NOW WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO BE DOING WITH MY LIFE" over tomato soup and grilled cheeses at the short-lived BIKINIS on Ave C. Later that evening, I walked over to Hans & Ellen's in the East Village for a big holiday feast! Check out the table spread! That's where we feast on so much Thai food... YUM! ...for a dress-as-movie-character Oscar party at Quinn & Sarah's. Haha. ...which means they were well-rested for our late-night snacks! Later that evening, we met up with Jared and then headed over to Pearl Street... We had ourselves a pizza-party dinner... Two and a half hours into the drive, we stopped at a diner up 87. There was a very happy Seamless mix-up and we somehow ended up with both Thai food and Curly's for lunch. FEAST! On Tuesday evening, I went out to the West Village to celebrate Davo & The KTB visiting from London! I took this first photo... I was kind of in the middle of an existential crisis and didn't know what to even do with myself. Gurj and Jared suggested we go for a drive and try to find a random place to eat. We ended up finding some awesome chromed-out diner in Benson Hurst... ...to get delicious burritos... Hahah. So excited for brunch. ...we ordered some Thai food! I took this photo while Gurj was in the middle of saying "This burrito is the size of my head!" Hahaha. Afterwards we went down to the Mission and got our Mexican on at El Farolito! Mmmmmmm! Quite the exclusive birthday lunch. After we got back from our New Year's Eve trip down in Florida , Gurj came over on Wednesday night for a hang. After the planetarium, we went back to our apartment and got a feast delivered and hung out. Wooo! Later that afternoon, we went to some place on Clinton Street for brunch. I love candid brunch shots. Look at Gurj's adorable little smile! She's so happy with her pancakes! I love this pic. Us about to dig into our Fried-tastic Feast! ...we ordered Thai food (yes!) and watched Season 1 of the original, British version of The Office for the thousandth time.
