Saturday was my last day in NYC before a quick 5-day trip to Tulum I booked last minute! Went to Odessa for some pancakes and bacon. Had a killer middle eastern breakfast and smoothie at Cafe Mogador. Made myself a lil brekkie...... After a few hours in the morning, Brett and I went out to grab lunch... Yesssss. Place makes my favorite breakfast sandwich. Has bacon, sausage, egg, cheese and MAPLE SYRUP DRIZZLE. ...to pick up coffees and breakfast sandwiches. Fruit, cheese and buttered bread breakfast. ...breakfast sandwich! Buttered toast with honey after a long dog walk. ...and had late night pancakes, eggs & bacon from Odessa. On Monday afternoon I walked over to the Organic Grill and had Blueberry Pancakes and Tofu Scramble for lunch. So good! Went into Whistler Village for an AMAZING breakfast. Had myself a solo Odessa breakfast experience. (Yes, those are chocolate chip pancakes). Met up with Grant to celebrate our Seinfeldian life at Odessa. Egg & cheese with pepper & beans. Yes. This was the vacation I'd been looking for. Odessa Diner on a tiny beach island. Walked around town a bit and had breakfast in another hotel's lobby. The weather was calling for more rain so none of the diving boats were going out. If the weather wasn't going to improve, I decided it was time to leave the beach-town of Placenia and check out another part of Belize. I decided on San Ignacio, a town up in Belize's Cayo District, the country's mountainous rainforest region near the western border shared with Guatemala. I had a bunch of time before my 2pm bus, which I tried to fill with this delicious breakfast by the water's edge. Mmmm. ...headed over to Odessa for pancakes and mantalk. Celebrated my day off on Friday with breakfast-for-lunch. ...their insane malawah dish. Crispy layers of Yemenite fillo dough topped with 2 eggs served with spicy puree of tomatoes. Ridiculously tasty. ...for a delicious family brunch. Doing it right! After a delicious breakfast... Awww, yeah. Chris woke us up bright and early to go fishing. (Gove: IS THIS FOR FISHING?) This time we stopped at Odessa on the way to the subway to get a PROPER diner breakfast! I miss the tofu scramble. We had eggs and french toast! My dad had a ham & egg sammich! Eggs, muffins and chocolate chip pancakes! Pacman croissant. On Friday night Meredith made delicious biscuit breakfast sandwiches for Dinner ! Mmmmm. Solid breakfast. Awesome nasi goreng breakfast. Mmmmmmm! After getting our next destination all squared away, it was time to enjoy a breakfast feast! I got my nasi goreng on. (I LOVE RICE FOR BREAKFAST!) Fresh local fruit! Teeny tiny delicious pancakes. ...then at 9am, we went to check out the hotel's insane breakfast spread. I ordered the Eggs Florentine and went halfies with someone who got the strawberry French Toast. Half savory, half sweet is THE ULTIMATE BREAKFAST! I got a breakfast burrito with hasbrowns... Aw yeah, room service breakfast! On Sunday morning, Meredith made me this amazing breakfast. (Chocolate chip pancakes and fresh mango? OMG). After a couple hours of playing Rockband, we decided to continue to our refusal to acknowledge conventional adulthood by making giant blueberry pancakes for lunch. BREAKFAST FOR DINNER IS MY FAVORITE! YUUUUUUUUUM. Breakfast for dinner! Breakfast for dinner! I went with one of my old NJ Diner stand bys: Two eggs over, home fries, wheat toast! We partied with the breakfast buffet... ...for some rice and more pineapple, and even decided, hey, what the fuck, to have some kimchi for breakfast. 8am breakfast the next morning. Here's where I learned that in Korea, they include that pink Spam-type meat in pretty much everything. I had a cheese sandwich, then went back up... and then drove into some fun, quaint nearby village where we ate a huge ass breakfast for like $4 each. I was planning on eating somthing late save room for the food at Lisa's house, but when I saw Chicken Fried Steak on the menu (served w/ 2 eggs and hashbrowns), I couldn't resist.
