Later that evening I realized that Maddy had been catching and eating more mice when she calmed walked up next to me and then vomited tiny spine bones. GROSS!
Had a crazy travel day. Flight was delayed and they landed in Washington DC instead of NYC. Took a train from DC, but then there was a bomb scare and the train stopped in Trenton. Ended up taking a cab from Trenton for $170!
On my 40th birthday, I woke up to the best gift I could ask for: A text from my mother, who is learning how to text. This means that I receive excellent (and cryptic!) texts like:
"HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY!
wow, still cannot believe
it...
you and Curtis Jackson
50 cents share the date
talk to you later...
XOX
"
I read this outloud and it makes me laugh every single time. Who knew my mom was such a fan?
Who likes crazy YouTube vidz more than me? Started Saturday morning off strong with a solid video on NLP techniques in the media.
(Hannity's always throwing up sixes!)
As my phone slowly replaces an actual camera, you're probably going to be seeing more and more of weird stuff I screenshot on my phone. Like this 7 of diamonds pose. YOU'RE WELCOME.
I love learning about human space travel! Did you know that with the exception of the 6 Apollo missions (that all happened during the Nixon administration) where we sent humans 240,000 miles into space and back that the furthest humans have been from the surface of the earth is 853 miles and that record was set in 1966? (The international space station we visit today is 270 miles from earth).
So here's a quick recap of the furthest distances traveled by humans in space by year:
1966: 853 miles
1969: 240,000 miles
2018: 270 miles
I'm sure we're going to Mars in Tesla space-cars any day now though.... (Learn more about LOW EARTH ORBIT)
I also bought these awesome Indian Clubs! They look like bowling pins, but these clubs have 2 lb weights in the end and you swing them around with your arms to help strengthen your shoulders and arms! Spend the afternoon watching videos of other, fellow weirdos swinging these around!
It's a thoracic pivot! You put it on the floor and lay down on it so it's between you're shoulder blades so you can crack your own thoracic vertabrae at home! A+!
