Before Em & Lo went on, the fabulous Six Piece Nastee took the stage and warmed up the crowd. By the way, four of the six pieces of said nastee are made up by none other Colin (on guitar), Frank (on kit)...
A few minutes later, Colin realized he'd missed one of his quarter-hourly sunblock applications and we had to evacuate the beach before he spontaneously combusted. Um, either that or it was just getting late - I forget which.
So every once in a while, one of my friends will pull an expression in a photo that just begs to be Photoshopped into something else. Case in point - Frank and Colin were joking around and were pretending to flip a table and and then the next thing you know...
As the night gained momentum, we abandoned our little table in the corner and took over the couch directly in front of the stage. Here's Frank, Seth, Colin and Tara.
Yep, and this one too. (Although, now that I think about it, I think we all might have been singing the four-part back up bit to Aerosmith's "Love In An Elevator" in these last two.)
So we ended up having so much singing at Frank's that we decided to round up a crew and head to Nolita Tavern for some Saturday night Sid & Buddy Karaoke action. Emily Cmielewski was in town from Boston apartment hunting for a place in NYC so she came with Bev (who I also went to high school with) and met us there. (L to R: Bev, MLE, Grant, Fatty and Colin).
Big Daddy tearing it up with Huey Lewis' seminal "I Want a New Drug." Homeboy kicked it so hard he needed not one, but two blonde, hula-clad male dancers. Check out that face; the urgency - can't you see how much Big Daddy wants that new drug?
After breakfast we said our goodbye and hopped in our respective rides. Colin, shown here in his Ford Focus SVT (only 7,000 made yaknow!), headed back to Brooklyn solo and Seth headed back up to Boston solo. Grant, Frank, Fatty and myself decided we were going to go back to Manhattan and see "American Wedding." We split up into two cars (me with Fatty, Grant with Frank) and decided we'd have a race back to NYC. First team to make it to the movie theater wins. Aw, yeah.
As "last call" drew nearer, we bid the lovely ladies a fond farewell and hit the road to head over to some other bar where Seth and Frank knew the owner (If you look in the background behind my arm you can see Seth showing off the can of beer he snuck out of the bar by strategically hiding it in his asscrack. Sweet.)
A few minutes later, we convinced them to take more pics ("Taking pics is fun, right?") and Grant got in on the action.
Okay, I think it's safe to say that we were all pretty liquored up. At some point during the next few hours, every guy on the trip managed to get their luggage out...which leads us to the very first ikeepadairy.com contest!
After months of getting people to willingly pose with my balls, it was time to try something new: getting unsuspecting people to unknowingly pose with my balls. I discreetly whipped out my bag, and grabbed one of our new friends for a picture. I handed off the cam to Seth who totally shit the bed by not managing to get my balls in the pic. Doh! The rest of the guys in the pic (Check out Grant and Franks' faces) were laughing so hard that the girl in the black shirt was totally confused...
After the beach, Fatty made the mistake of trying to catch a quick nap amidst a roomful of rowdy guys. Check out Big Daddy calling in for back-up while Frank gives Fatty a lil' "hot dog in the bun through the sheet" action...
One Glaswegian + One ManSkirt + Plus 14 Scotches = A Royal AssKicking Just Waiting to Happen. So when this Scotsmans rolled up on our sorry group and wanted to hang, we knew it was time to head back to the hotel.
Check out Colin! Your enjoyment of this photo just isn't fully maximized until you play The Village Peoples "YMCA" on your MP3 player in the background. (Although, "Raining Men" is a good subsitute).
After everyone woke up we headed around the corner to meet up with the rest of the gang over at Nolita Tavern for Saturday night Sid and Buddy Karaoke.
...Colin gets dirty with the imaginary girl he was dancing with all night (But I don't think he managed to take her home with him at the end of the night! Oh, snap!).
Here's us teasing Colin about his nicknamed being changed from "Big Daddy" to "P.Dinky." (The entire story will be explained in a diary entry that probably won't be allowed to be realeased until the year 2030 *sigh*).
I met up with Colin and his friend Jen at Pianos. And then we went to Nolita Tavern for some karaoke action. I love how both Colin and Fatty are always making faces behind their date's backs. Hahaha).
My friend Allison (all the way on the right) showed up with three friends. Bonus points to Big Daddy for popping up and making that face in the background! Hahah.
Around 10:30, the living room was getting over-crowded and people started spilling into the guest bedroom (Big Daddy, Fatty and Sarah pimp by the window).
Ten minutes later and Big Daddy's still standing in the same exact spot (I wonder how much of that had to do with the cutey in the short skirt in the background? Hmmmm? Too bad Colin kicks it to girls about as well as I play the French Horn. Booo-yah!).
"We're going to party Karamu, fiesta, forever! Come on and sing along!" Talk about lyrical foreshadowing, jeeeez! Colin (aka - "Big Daddy") stepped up to the stage and got the crowd feeling nice with his rendition of Lionel Ritchie's schmoking hit "All Night Long."
Saturday night Grant and I stayed in watching TV at my house until like 1am (losers) and then finally got our asses in gear to go meet Seth (who had just come down from Boston) and a bunch of other people at Antarctica. (L to R: Seth, Big Daddy, Grant [looking tres Billyburg in his gay-ass, cocked, camo hat] and me).
