Hung out with these guys afterwards. Jared & Jesse. Later that night I biked to the Coffee Shop in Union Square to have a pre-show dinner with Christina, Sarah, Quinn, Gurj & Karen before walking over to... Newlyweds (!!!) Jared and Jeet came over later in the evening for a Vietnamese sandwich feast! We stumbled on the Manhattan outpost of Smorgasburg and stopped to get our treat on. Neat to be able to walk around and explore such a cool project! The installation had three different pods. An open, geodesic dome-framed tent for living, a storage / greenhouse, and a garden with bike-pedal-powered electricity. Jared peeking into the tent. ...the bride and groom to make an appearance! Haha. Dance floor party instigating. Jared & Gurj's brother! Always fun to see families partying together for the first time! Jared and his mom dancing right next to... TA-DA! Jared is searching the crowd looking for family members so that they could all get together and recreate... ...the dance floor got going. It was really great. After the cake was cut, everyone went into the planetarium room and we watched a video about how Gurj & Jared got together projected onto the ceiling! ...but they kept it from getting to out-of-hand! It only devolved into a little bit of mutual cake-face smashing... If was really funny to watch Jared & Gurj have a "Don't you dare smash cake in my face or I'll smash cake in your face" stand-off! Time to cut the cake! Party version. Juliette got to hang with the wedding party. VIP baby! I'm lovin it. Hahahah. ...Steve, gave an excellent toast! ...inside the planetarium! So there was a giant model of the moon next to the wedding party's table! The wedding reception was held... JUST MARRIED! ...and then we shot some pics in Jared's dad's motorcycle! One last pics with Jared's family... ...and configurations! ....getting our wedding party photos on... Then we spent the next thirty minutes.... Congrats, Gurjeet & Jared! I love you both so much! Congrats, Mr & Mrs Piccone! A little before midnight, we loaded up the groom into a van and sent him onto the after party! After drunkenly crashing around in the woods, I came inside at 3am to find these guys crashed out on adjacent couches. ...of sleeping gentlemans. We managed to get the entire gang together for a group photo before... Burger in the right. Pizza in the left. 100! Guest of honor! ...wiffleball action-shots? ...foosball table... Right after I turned around from taking this picture... ...all the party supplies. ...and the drinking-gear remnants of bachelor-party-renters before us. Taco stop! Back in the East Village, we celebrated our afternoon wave-jumping triumphs with an Odessa feast! ...to spend the afternoon.... On Monday morning Jared picked me up... On Thursday I received my invite to the upcoming Bassi-Piccone wedding! Verrrrry exciting! Gurj & Jared came over for a lovely evening hang. These are my friends. There are many like them, but these ones are mine. Jared & Josh's excitement while exploring the SIX FLAVORS of ice cream was palpable. On Friday night, I went over to Ellen & Han's apartment for a potluck dinner and a night of awesome hangs with all these lovely people that give me the feels so hard. Jared went up into the loft to recreate the cover of Michael Jackson's Thriller. Hahaha. This is my 100% favorite photo of J-rod. So sultry. ...for a dress-as-movie-character Oscar party at Quinn & Sarah's. Haha. Jared, Gurj & Quinn came over for a Saturday night hang.
