Karen & J-rod fired up the decks... After the speeches Ellen made the rounds and did some table visiting. Two more! ...more people joined in! Each time we snapped... I spent the beginning of October out in Montauk for Ellen & Hans' awesome wedding (lots more pics of that coming soooooon!) Gurj getting to know Mr. Hart! Aww, buddies! Ok, on to the reception ! Rare Tompkins reunion with these guys! ...who burns white sage non-ironically. My friends have been (semi) supportive of my transition to a person... Was awoken from a nap on my couch from Gurj that a crew was assembling in Union Square to get food at the Coffee Shop! I dusted the sleep from my eyes and hopped on my bike. And had a nice catch-up with these guys! Later in the evening I went to La Palapa party room to celebrate Karen's birthday! It wasn't windy or anything. 2014 was all about messy hair. Karen & Quinn! ...and headed over to Matt's for Thai food and a hang! On the way home, Karen and I stopped over at Otto's Shrunken Head... Friend portrait. First the ladies... Post-dinner Juliette play party. On Friday night we all got to together for dinner to wish Meredith a happy birthday! Happy birthday, Quinn! We love you! ...and then sing happy birthday really loud to embarrass them when it shows up! The best part about a friend's birthday is when you get to secretly order them a FLAMING dessert.... Look at all the people that... ...Quinn's birthday! ...and Karen & Sarah at Miss Lily's. After I got home, I grabbed the dog and walked over to Matt's for a hang. On Saturday evening I went over to Karen's with Gurj and ate WAY too many Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Ow, my stomach! I stuck around with Karen to clean up and pack away leftovers. I took a picture of all the Polaroids from the evening. Party winding down around 1am. Including this one of me & Karen that is solid gold! While the food cooked, Leigh showed Dana and Karen the dachshund dolls she's recently gotten from a friend... By Friday evening, my camera had dried out and was taking normal pictures again! I went up to Leigh & Randy's for a Thanksgiving feast. Here's Leigh... Auto-timer class portrait before we all went our separate ways! Thanks for a lovely weekend, everyone! Lovelies. So much laughing. And face painting! ...to purple / pink! We wandered around the farm and communed with nature. I spent at least forty minutes sitting on the stone fence watching the tree branches swirl and "breathe." Maddy wants to kill everything. The house had an amazing back porch. Ohhh! Shot! After a few turns of playing, we figured out how to improve the game by adding a penalty... ...and we got treated to some tuneage courtesy of the house guitar. Headed north. Hung out with these guys afterwards. Later that night I biked to the Coffee Shop in Union Square to have a pre-show dinner with Christina, Sarah, Quinn, Gurj & Karen before walking over to... Like old times. Passing baby Juliette around the table. Trying to enjoy the last bit of outdoor evening weather! Headed back to the hotel to go our separate ways. Congrats Gurjeet & Jared! We love you guys so much! ...in the lobby the next morning. We got coffee and waited for... Oh, Table 7! ...and lining up to congratulate the new married couple! Meredith took a seat... Bridesmaid's ready! Goodnight, everyone! Worn out from partying, pizza and long admiration for Karen's dress... ...everyone was feeling sleepy. The after-party place had giant scorpion bowl drinks...
