Later that evening, we went out to visit Gurj and Jared in Queens and hand-painted signs to cheer Ellen on in during the marathon tomorrow! Making musik, I does it! Later that evening, Gurj came over and we played with a bunch of Brian Eno-designed music-making apps on the iPad. Late night I went over to Karen's for a hang. Gurj came over after work on Wednesday so we could watch the new season of Eastbound & Down. All packed up and ready to head home! Thanks again to Jenny for suggesting the trip and organizing the weekend! Mmmmmm! Rather than waste food, Gurj and Jenny took our remaining groceries and busied themselves making some delicious HOBO SANDWICHES . And the second! Haha. Attempt #1! Which led to us ALL trying to time jumping backwards into the air at the exact moment the auto-timer shutter fired. I snapped a quick group photo... Finally got it in shot # 3! Number 2 was a falling-from-the-sky success. ...and then decided to balance my camera on the boardwalk railing and try a few snaps with the autotimer. Hahah. Other side of the table. Everyone was all stocked up and ready to go with their bags of goodies, but we couldn't find Marisa and Jenny... Rose horse. Later that afternoon, the seven of us loaded ourselves into the family van we'd rented for the weekend... Pretty wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning. Meredith explored the yard... Look at us having breakfast together just like normal people. Yes. Gurj and I traded stretching tips and took each other through our routines and then followed it up... Gurj and Mer got were at work... Nobody didn't like them. Settling in for a living room hang. Hahaha. ...and so Gurj could do some freestyle jumps in the snack aisle. Haha. Beach & Dim Sum food coma recovery party / nap festival at our place! DESTINATION! ...it's just a quick walk through Chinatown to get to VEGGIE DIM SUM! Woooo! ...but then their eyes would snap open and we'd all have to pretend that we weren't just taking sneaky sleepy photos! BUSTED! Hahaha. On the subway ride home Gurj and Christina were so tired that their leeetle eyes kept closing and I kept trying to take sneaky pics of them dozing off... This makes me so happy. Action shot. Gurj noticed that the muy guapo hombre in the verizon ad... I smolder for you. Afterwards, we all went back to our house to hang. Gurj was sleepy! We got caught posing and our group grew. Tuesday night a bar around the corner from our place was having a party to show the premiere of a short-lived MTV reality show that Gurj appeared on. Here she is at our door all excited and nervous!
