She stuck her tongue out at the perfect time! Haha. Everybody all settled in to watch TV and... Oh my god, these superfriends. Hahaha. How could you resist a face like this? ...and this one! All three! On the very first morning of 2014, Piper & Edie helped keep Ellen cozy while she waited for... Mer came over to my place a little after 9pm, and we walked with the dogs over to the West Village... Biggy and Maddy also got to spend some quality time together. Smash them all together! Dog pile! ...with my terrifying pack of Halloween Hell Hounds! Dachshund infestation! While walking through the park, Maddy got her head stuck in this box while trying to catch a squirrel! On the walk home, Maddy ran into her doppleganger (dapple-ganger?), Esther! You guys look like ME! They are always so excited to see each other! Squad. Bunk buddies. Sleeping between feet! ...put this little dingle in the car... ...snuggled up. Walking the ladies. Woke up Tuesday morning to find these two rough-housing on the couch and making weird goose-honking noises at each other. ...and then she pulls her head out and attacks Edie! Repeat times one-hundred. Maddy likes to play this game where she buries her head under a blanket (she can't see anything so she thinks she's invisible?)... Finished up early enough to take a late-afternoon nap with these two bozos. Bookends. Later that evening, Edie came over to stay for a bit. Follows the afternoon sun as it moves across the couch. Sun is slowly melting my tiny dog brain. One of my favorite things is watching Maddy settle down into a sunbeam, all squinty-eyed... ...and then watch her try her hardest to stay awake. What wants? Is sleepy! Huh? Maddy lazily half-burroughed under blanket after her morning walk. Where is the face? Yes, hello. Who lives here? Pigeon fly away. Maddy has a very specific dirty look she gives me when she's ready for a walk. ...with this squidgel. What a hunch-whistle! ...."Ok, I'm ready for you to pet me now." ...and then fall onto her side. This is her way of saying... So hard to know it and not smash it with love. Awww, this little cuddle bear. When you walk into a room and pay attention to Maddy, she'll look at you... ..a little speckled wiener dog who wasn't entirely sure if she was ready to forgive me for leaving. "IS BACK NOW?" ...two wiener armrests. Lucky! ...and Brett and Amy came to stay with me for a couple days in New York! Then we called the dogs over... Such a serious tugger. Ok, now the other one! Meredith and her new roomie, Gina. Maddy napped on my knee. Two dogs, one lap! Jeet crashed on the couch and got her legs snuggled by these two idjits. Haha. (I hung out with Catrinel in the evening, but didn't take any pics I guess!) Frozen fruit bars for dessert. Strawberry Popsicle Lounging. I was trying to get a photo of Maddy's head all tucked under Jeet's feet... ...but she woke up when she heard me giggling. Haha. Maddy is too long and wienery to fit on my lap but that doesn't stop her from curling up there all the time. Except for these two. Sunday was my last day of dog-sitting Edie so I wanted to get my two-houndsworth. Maddy's low-clearance means she has low tolerance for being out in the snow. She usually makes it about thirty feet before wanting to head home. ...with this lil long-dog snoozing on my leg. Haha. Walking the beasts. Took a little afternoon couch nap with this grimple... ...our hot dogs roasted in the sun. Such a blankety grimple. Meredith went off for an evening of Johnny Airmart Filipino grocery shopping adventures with Caiti while... ...to hang out with these two. Lazy sunday! Was going to head out to the beach, but ended up hanging around the neighborhood with these three halfwits. Honkfest. Maddy and Piper chased each other around. Dog smooch time! LAZY SUNDAY! When timed correctly, a photo of Maddy yawning is basically Odie from Garfield. Haha. Work buddies. Later that afternoon, we dropped Jagger off... Greeted back at home by not one... Biggy & Maddy! Haha. Work buddy. ...his adorable new dog! Haha. Back at home watching this idjit happily gnaw her rawhide. Another night, another dog party. Trying to walk these two at the same time is tricky. Awww, buddies. And two tiny dogs. On Saturday we got a Piper to watch while Ellen was away on vacation! Ellen came over later that evening! We walked the dogs over to Sheen Brothers... On Wednesday I took Maddy over to Leigh and Ryan's. Animal friends! Adorable! Drese even humored Maddy with tug of war! Such party professionals! Look what I learned how to do, mom! Sunday morning hound chow time! We also finally succeeded in getting Maddy and Jagger to play tug of war with each other! ADORABLE! I bite your face! Edie and Maddy pay close attention... ...to Vin eating a slice. Haha. Wiener dog reunion!
