Sometimes in the winter months, I like to dig out a box of old stuff. Found this excellent bunch of mixtapes. She is such a wonderful companion to me for so many years! So nice to have a silky morning cuddle buddy in the winter. Small dog party! Lol Brother time at the airport with the ween. Mom couldn't stop crying because she kept thinking about how it was probably dad's last Christmas (it was). On our last night we took family pics by the tree. Maddy loves all the pillows at my parent's place. Lol We turned around and our audience of supervisors had tripled! Beach day in a convertible is pretty great. Gotta soak up the Florida sun! Took an afternoon snack-run with my favorite lil lizard murdered... Then cleaned up all the lizards that Maddy had murdered. This one was really pretty and had a strawberry-looking dewlap! (Had to look this word up - knew there had to be a specific word for it: "dewlap: a fold of loose skin hanging from the neck or throat of an animal, especially that present in many cattle." Maddy hoping for some turkey. Maddy loves my dad. Running errands with the ween on Wednesday. ...she looked up to give him a kiss. Lol. I love this pic. <3 Was really cute to see them interacting. Right in the middle of taking their picture... Arm rest = chin rest. Awww. Packed up Maddy and headed to the airport to fly to Florida for Thanksgiving with my family. Met up with Gurj and we got lunch and massages on Saturday. Came back to mine afterwards to hang. WHY YOU WAKE IT? Maddy's face when I wake her up at 4am to see if she wants to get in bed with me. I sat there with our two aging dachshunds, holding my friends' ten-month old baby... Hike break! Hung out with Kev again later in the evening. Maddy always falls asleep on him in the cutest ways. Kevin came over on Monday for a hang and a much-needed reiki-trade. Then we loaded up the Wolverine and hit the road. Sunday morning hike with Maddy and Dreiss. Dog in a bag! Catrinel and Dreiss! Post-toof removal and sleeping off the anesthesia. Later that evening I went over to Meredith's for a hang! ...and decided to finish painting the trim in my hallway! ...and couch cuddles with my lil buddy. Back in NYC! Thai dinner... On Wednesday night, Susti and Kevin came over for reiki... On the way home, I stopped off in my hometown to visit Scott and his family! ...loaded up the ween into her travel basket.... ....to watch the McGregor / Mayweather fight. On Friday I hung out with Jane and Meredith. Maddy loves a fake grass mat. Maddy's face when someone is playing with her ears. Lol. Later that evening Cynthia came over for a hang. Brought Maddy over for a hang at Meredith's Maddy kept me company while I did some work in my office. Had a Monday morning snooze with this speckled cuddle buddy. On Sunday night Akiko came over for a visit and I gave her some Atoma a reiki treatment. My majestic sunbather. Maddy approves. lol After our walk, we loaded up the ween... Early morning hike on the mountain with Maddy... ...all buckled up... Ended the month with a reiki trade and a hang with Kevin. Happy July 2017! Meredith tries on a suburban hat. On Saturday, a bunch of us met up to take the train up to Croton for Fatty's birthday! Kevin came over later for a reiki trade, some BBQ and big ol honking bag of thick, white Volcano vapor. ...exploring La Plaza with Maddy. And then we ate too much BBQ and smoked too much weed. (Maddy's fave place to be is between someone toasty legs.) Evening reading with Maddy. Tuesday afternoon reading with my cuddle buddy. Ten days later I was back in NYC and headed over to Meredith's apt to pick up the ween. On Wednesday afternoon Meredith came over to pick up Maddy... ...with my bone-chewing, ankle-warming companion. Had a nice lazy afternoon hanging with Maddy. Celebrated Father's Day on Sunday with my favorite lil daughter. Such a happy fuzzworm! WHERE ARE YOUR PANTS THO? We explored the new plants on our walk. ...then Maddy and I hopped in the Wolverine and went exploring the trails on my property at HIGH SPEED! Rainy morning ween snuggles. She LOVED it! ...and loaded her up for her first ride up the mountain at HIGH SPEED. The land I bought is historic and was involved in an accidental skirmish between settlers and local natives during the French / Indian War. Settled 1754. Attacked by "Indians" 1755. George Brimmer is buried right on the edge of my property. Headed home with Maddy before the rain showed up. Way better than her city morning walks. Look how excited Maddy is. Lol. She loves waking up in the woods and cannot WAIT for me to get up and take her on a walk so she can be off leash and hunt chipmunks. Fucking little dachshund psycho! Is chilly. Can make a fire? Maddy loves exploring in the woods. After finishing work for the day, Maddy and I set out to explore the mountain! No more groceries ok, tho? Then hit the grocery store to stock up for the week! After getting everything unpacked, I put out Maddy's dinner for her and settled down on the couch. Maddy seemed really confused. She kept looking at me, "Wait, we live here now?" On Friday Maddy and I headed down to DC... Maddy loves to wake up and go on her morning walk, but some morning she just wants to cuddle a bit first. <3 I love when Maddy does that little chin resting thing when she sun-naps. On Sunday morning Meredith dropped off Major for a day of dogsitting so she could spend Mother's Day with her family.
