She'd agreed to pooch-sit while we were away for the holidays. Unfortunately for Maddy, holiday-stays with Leigh come along with elf costumes. FEATS OF STRENGTH! Maddy has a natural affinity towards lederhosen. A little after ten, Ellen and her NEW BOYFRIEND Hans came over to pre-game. Octoberfest & Sexy Airline Stewardess Wakey wakey! Four hours later and Maddy was still in cuddle buddy heaven. What's better than having a nap guard dog? With a belly full of breakfast, the few Ambien Grant had taken on the plane were lingering and he still felt pretty altered. He decided to lay down to sleep it off. Maddy LOVES Grant and was so excited to have her favorite buddy back to nap with. Later that evening, Caiti and Jagger came over for a hang. Later that night we all cuddled up on the couch... Puh-thetic. Nap buddies. ...hung out with the grimple for a bit (and borrowed Meredith's glasses!). ...and I am totally alright with that. Hey, why's it getting so chilly? WTF? Egg dog. Ellen came over later that evening! We walked the dogs over to Sheen Brothers... ...and then we took Maddy and Jagger to the dog park. ...then hung out with my buddy and trash-picked records in the afternoon. On Friday morning, Mer and I took Maddy on an early stroll to the dog park. These two. Later that evening, Matt and Ellen came over to welcome us back home! Yay! ...watched the surfers for a bit and then we loaded up a car service car with all of our gear and headed back home to the East Village! We took the hound for one last stroll down the boardwalk... Post-beach QT with the houndine. As soon as we got back into town, we picked up our hound and then got on the subway to head back to our Rockaway Beach rental for a few more days. ...and to drop off Maddy with Caiti in preparation for us driving out to Ohio for Steve and Rachel's wedding! Maddy likes to cuddle our sleepover buddies. Later that night, we snuggled with Maddy on the couch and watched... ...and got the royal welcome from the weiner hound! Not impressed. Later that evening... Took the dog for a long walk near the beach. (No dogs allowed when there's people around) Maddy saw them in the waves and was convinced they were some kind of weird... Ah! as the dew I fall,Hideyoshi On Wednesday I took Maddy over to Leigh and Ryan's. That heart stopping moment when you really hope you know what you're doing when you realize that living things you care about are actually going to be napping under the hundreds of pounds of books you've just hung on sheetrock. New daybed got delivered first thing on Wednesday morning. Maddy was a big fan. Adorable. Finished up the night relaxing on the couch with my buddy. Animal friends! Adorable! Drese even humored Maddy with tug of war! I woke up super early on Friday and got all my work done by 10am. I bid farewell to these two... Not impressed with the pack at the park. We go look for squirrels now? Taking the pooch to the park. We watched Egyptian pyramid conspiracy movies and then lapsed into treat comas! We ordered veggie Vietnamese food from Lan Cafe (mmmmm!).... Such party professionals! I came home to find these two fast asleep. Awww, brown mouse! Exactly five minutes later. Hahaha. Pancake nap! We go now? This is a good way to start your morning. Later that afternoon, Caiti came by to claim her pup! Look what I learned how to do, mom! Sunday morning hound chow time! We also finally succeeded in getting Maddy and Jagger to play tug of war with each other! ADORABLE! Two days later and these guys had totally exhausted each other! Butt-touch truce, k? On Friday evening we bid farewell to the dogs (who we caught spooning in the crate!)... I bite your face! ...Jagger with us for a few days of dog-sitting! Back when Jagger was a pup, he was Maddy's size! Me? Sleeping? Naaaaw. Edie and Maddy pay close attention... ...to Vin eating a slice. Haha. We brought them back to our place so they could wrassle in private. Ready? Vicious! Go! PWNED! Puppy counter-attack! My brother was in town and crashing at our place! Hunchy want to know where you go? On Thursday night a bunch of people came over for a hang. Maddy give Vin the customary air-lick greeting. ...look like yer pet. A brief post-sandwich nap... Maddy in the wild. Wiener dog reunion! On Saturday morning, we packed up the snooch, hopped in a cab to the Port Authority... ...and took her to the dog park. Maddy was in awe... Afterwards, we grabbed this frisky lady... Maddy favorite place is Leg Alley. ...prove it actually IS possible to look tough while holding Maddy. So hunchy.
