...I think it's safe to say that Meredith and my TEAM UGLY FACE prevailed. The best thing about "UGLY FACE" is that it usually always leads to you making friends with people who overhear you laughing and are like "Yo, what the FUCK are you guys doing?" And then after you explain their like "Oh..."
My ugly face! (Hahahah. Jesus. I know I've done this face like a million times and I should be used to it...but even I've got to say that this particular instance is shockingly ugly!
Two of Jack's lady friends that were there also wanted in on the action. I took a bunch of pictures of this girl, and this is the ugliest one she managed. (Boooo!)
Jack came into the back room where we were all holed up and was like "Uh, there's a party going on, dudes. Why are you all hiding out in my bedroom by yourselves?" So I explained that we were busy taking dumb pics of ourselves making ugly faces and didn't want to impose our lameness on the rest of the party. Then I showed him this face.
Jack was immediately like "Sweet! Let me me try!" This is a pretty excellent first attempt at an ugly face! He even managed to make one of his eyes drift off a bit. (Unless he's not doing that on purpose - in which case, I'm sorry for mentioning it, Jack). And thanks for inviting us to your party!
I don't even remember if any of us even knew this guy - but that didn't mean we weren't going to welcome him to join our private, face-making party in the back room! Come one, come all! Show yer vampire face!
I can't remember if this photo is an attempt of Gurj and Ellen's friend to join in the game or whether she just really disapproved of how lame we were being. Hahah.
The ugly face game quickly gave way to the "shake your head back and forth as fast as you can and take a picture of it with the flash on" game. Here's Fatty's rubberface.
...Andrew Borin shows up to the party and pulls out this masterpiece. First he ends up rocking the entire Landmark Theater with the "Top That" rap and then he wins the ugly face contest? Christ, what can't this kid do? (This was almost as big of an upset as when Josh Teixeira won the "Matt Weiner Ugly Face Contest of 2002").
Then I started showing off some of the advanced techniques I used to subtely sabotage "glamour shots" (because you can't always make a totally ridiculous, over-the-top face). Here's me demonstrating how, with a little practice, you can learn to cross just one eye a tiny bit and make it look like you have a floater-eye!
After Teen Witch, Meredith and I went over to Orchard Bar to dance and say hi to Sarah and Karen and I immediately started challenging people to make the "ugliest face possible." Here's Sarah's. Hahahahah. AMAZING!
This isn't from New Year's, but it was one of the pics that Katie sent around with the other pics she took of the night and I thought this would be as good a place as any to re-post it.
