e9th apt — Woke up on Wednesday and was excited to see what my new living room looked like in the sunlight.

e9th apt — I bought a second color paint to do the recessed window-boxes, but figured I'd let the blue paint dry a bit before continuing.

e9th apt — Moved all the furniture back in place! Ta-da!

e9th apt — ...I was almost finished.

e9th apt — Painting always takes a lot longer than you think it's going to take! Over four hours after starting....

e9th apt — I'd been living in NYC for fourteen years and I've had nine different apartments; this was the first time I ever decided to paint a single wall! Here we go!

e9th apt — After living with white walls for three-and-a-half years, on Tuesday evening I bought paint for the living room.

e9th apt — A little bit of bleed-over from the end of September! On Sunday night, Grant, Amanda & Mer came over to watch the finale of Breaking Bad followed by the premiere of Eastbound & Down.

e9th apt — Mer came over on Wednesday afternoon so we could go through the 36-page draft of our divorce agreement that our mediator had drafted for us. Afterwards, we looked over at each other's recently-created OKCupid profiles and had a laugh.

e9th apt — Cat came over for a hang! We talked about LIFE STUFF and philosophy and Catrinel was award quote of the month for the following: "Oh, I see now. It was your plan all along to lure me over to to your apartment just so you could tell me that I don't exist!" Hahahah.

e9th apt — On Sunday afternoon, Grant came by for a hang. So grateful to have a buddy nearby who likes the surprise pop-in.

e9th apt — Remember when everyone thought the world was going to end on December 21st, 2012? I arrived back from my lovely trip to Paris late on Friday night and was greeted at the apartment by Meredith & Maddy! Thanks again for watching her while I was away, Mer!

e9th apt — I ended up moving the laptop behind me out of my line of site. The software allows you to "record" your brainwaves and review them after the session is complete.

e9th apt — Later that evening, Grant and Amanda came over to hang out and learn a song that Frank wanted to play at their upcoming Christmas Party.

e9th apt — I spent the afternoon running errands to give Meredith some space, and when I returned home I found all of her stuff neatly boxed in the hallway.

e9th apt — ...to pack up everything of hers that was still in the apartment and bring it to her new apartment out in Brooklyn.

e9th apt — Monday morning visitor! Grant gets up early to do a 10k run - usually he stops at my apartment at the 5k mark to have a coffee and a chat before he runs home.

e9th apt — Grant crashed on Tuesday night. We spent Wednesday morning doing our freelance work and talking about how weird (and wonderful) it is to not have to go to an office every day. And how important it is to have freelancer friends to talk about all the unique problems & worries that come from having a non-traditional job.

e9th apt — Later that night, Mer, Grand and Amanda came over for an Indian feast and a screening of....

e9th apt — After eight years of friendship, six years of living together and three years of marriage, Meredith and I decided to take our relationship to the next level and SPLIT UP! ;) Earlier in the week she'd found a temporary apartment for rent nearby and on Saturday afternoon, I helped her move her stuff out.

e9th apt — We spent Sunday going through our apartment and finding stuff to get rid of.

e9th apt — After I'd finished up work, I spent the rest of the day creating diary entries out of a bunch of photos from the summer of 2010.
