Christmas Eve dinner back at my parent's house. Merry almost-Christmas! By 6pm we were in a cab to the airport and on our way to enjoying... Thanksgiving family portrait! We all hung out late! On Friday night we went to see... Also noteworthy on Sunday was the custom mouse pad Meredith gave me as a gift out of the blue. A-dorable. (This picture of us is from when we were in Thailand .) Halloween Family Portrait! It took forever to get a photo of Maddy looking towards the camera because in between shots... ...she couldn't resist licking my delicious make-uppy face. Clearing the dance floor and taking home table roses at 12:15! ("Looks like those double-scotches finally caught up with you, Dr. Rosepenis.") Hands free! Which led to the great idea of practicing our Hava Nagila skills. I volunteered to take (the much drunker) team for a test drive. Feel pretty lucky to know these two. Me vs. Mer! On Monday afternoon, we hopped in a cab and headed over to Leigh's apartment... Married folks! Neck pillows? Check! Ready for the thirty-hour trip back. Last night as honeymooners! Later in the afternoon, we wandered around the town on foot. Mer did a bunch of souvenir shopping... One more for the road. Here's us with our awesome tour guide! Hahah. He wanted to dress us up in traditional Balinese wedding clothes and take our picture! After we'd finished the tour, we stopped by our guide's house. He told us to wait outside because he had a surprise for us. ...uh...presenting a hill! Us in front of the wall! ...pretending to take a nap in the little farmer's "nap hut" he showed us. Haha. And... When our tour guide found out that we were on our honeymoon, he insisted on stopping every couple of minutes to take pictures of Meredith and I together. Doing things like...posing in front of the rice paddy! And... After a day of settling in... After some swimming and napping at the pool, we went up to the restaurant at the top of the hill... People in Bali are super-friendly and any time a local found out we were on our honeymoon they were so excited for us. It was really great. Here's us doing our best to not squint. You had a cover your bare legs. After eating, we hopped back into our rental car and drove for like 3 minutes. Mer doesn't like scuba diving (she has trouble equalizing the pressure in her ears) but she was excited to snorkel around the reef while we were diving. The local time was 3:30 in the afternoon. Hey hey, are you ready for a... Mike took this great photo of us with some of the Cathay Pacific flight attendants, then we said goodbye and headed to the gate. Thanks so much for coming out to see us off, Mike! After much wandering around (SFO international is HUGE) we finally met up with Mike and he became the very first of our friends to see us as a MARRIED COUPLE! Official start of the honeymoon! Amazing. Thanks again for coming all the way across the country to see us get married, guys! One last photo of us in our nice clothes before heading back to the hotel to change. Feeling like the luckiest guy in the whole world. Excited! We just kept passing cameras around. Right at 1pm, my dad brought the car around... We didn't hire a wedding photographer! After a dose of cold medicine and a hot shower, I felt much better. Getting ready to GET MARRIED!!! Mer came home and woke up a little after 10pm. I'd gotten another eight hours of sleep since our trip to the doctor and my fever was finally breaking. Getting married the day after tomorrow! Me and the bride-to-be. That's where we're getting married! Excited. 4:30am. Taking the elevator downstairs to head to the airport...TO GET MARRIED! Joining the married club shortly! We ran into Candy at karaoke! We didn't end up staying all that much longer because the place didn't really have a sound system, er, or a place to really even sing karaoke. You're getting married to THIS GUY! Haha. Thanks for inviting us! After the show we hopped into a cab and headed over to... Haha. Never in my life did I think I'd be holding a Britney Spears concert ticket. Haha. Haha.
