We got our van all packed up and decided to catch a couple morning rays before heading over to Denny's (yep, Denny's again less than 8 hours later) for the post-wedding brunch.
Scott doing some hooping. Unbeknownst to all the party guests, Siege had cut a hole into the top of the projection screen and hidden a video camera. If you look at his right hand you'll see he's holding the remote control he was using to activate the camera and record people hula hooping from the vantage point of the screen! SNEAKY!
In the game there's a guy who throws a new hula hoop "at you" and you have to stop hula hooping and put both your arms up and lean in order to "catch" it. It's fun.
He also set up a photo booth in the tiny half-bathroom around the corner where the Wii Fit was set up. Here are a bunch of snaps I took from Siege's photobooth. (Thanks, Siege!)
A couple days after the party, we all received an email from him with a link to a surprise video he'd edited together with all the clandestine hula hooping video he'd shot. It. Is. Amazing. My favorite part is the highlight reel of everyone throwing their hands up and leaning that starts around the 1:45 minute mark (right after Siege does the "white man's overbite") and just keeps getting better. (PS - Make sure you check out Ellen's sideways "tit-sway" at 2:14. Amazing.)
Later that night a whole bunch of us went to Amanda's for birthday treats and a game of Trivial Pursuit. Everyone was so tired from being out in the sun all day (well, except for Siege of course) and kept falling asleep!
Then a couple songs later, Meredith, KT and Siege joined the party and we all nerded out together. Just cuz you're getting married doesn't mean you gotta grow up or anything! Thanks to everyone for keeping the surprise a secret and for coming out to help me surprise Meredith! It meant so much to have so many people we love be there to share that huge moment in our lives!
Indoor grilling in June in a NYC-sized apartment = 1,000 degrees Farenheit. Meredith was like "It's so hot in here, let's go up on to the roof" and everyone had to keep making up excuses about why we were staying in the roasting-hot apartment.
I stayed super late and helped clean up. Here's the last photo of the night of me and Siege getting ready to take the garbage out! Happy Birthday, Katie!
The photo booth is great because it allows you to retrospectively trace the trajectory of the party. The first few photo booth pics are tame, but as the night goes on, they start to get friskier. Here's Siege and a couple of bemasked ladies I don't recognize!
Siege is a photographer and on special occasions he'll set up one of his fancy cameras on a tripod and tuck it away into a hidden little room with a remote shutter trigger so that people can take photos of themselves!

Siege and I were starting to get concerned that the male to female "visible nipple ratio" was getting too imbalanced so we decided to try to even things about a bit. Peek-a-boo, ladies!
Five people on a love seat! Awwww. After I took this photo, I put my camera down somewhere and then couldn't find it! I looked and looked, but it totally had disappeared! A couple of minutes later, I returned from getting another drink in the kitchen and it turned up. I turned the camera on...
