...HAPPY NEW YEAR! (PS - Siege, the timestamp says this is 37 seconds into the new year. I think I got the first photo of you being kissed in 2010! Sorry it's not IN FOCUS! Ahhhh!)
We got our van all packed up and decided to catch a couple morning rays before heading over to Denny's (yep, Denny's again less than 8 hours later) for the post-wedding brunch.
Later on in the evening, I took a picture of Jen bending over with the flash on and it went right through the pair of shiny, stretchy black pants she was wearing. I also really like how it looks like KT is pressing on Jen's asshole like she's ringing a doorbell. Bonus points to The Wang for laughing between her legs. I call this photo DING-DONG-DING-US.
A couple days after the party, we all received an email from him with a link to a surprise video he'd edited together with all the clandestine hula hooping video he'd shot. It. Is. Amazing. My favorite part is the highlight reel of everyone throwing their hands up and leaning that starts around the 1:45 minute mark (right after Siege does the "white man's overbite") and just keeps getting better. (PS - Make sure you check out Ellen's sideways "tit-sway" at 2:14. Amazing.)
Then a couple songs later, Meredith, KT and Siege joined the party and we all nerded out together. Just cuz you're getting married doesn't mean you gotta grow up or anything! Thanks to everyone for keeping the surprise a secret and for coming out to help me surprise Meredith! It meant so much to have so many people we love be there to share that huge moment in our lives!
Siege's two favorite things are Katie and New Orleans (well, maybe New Orleans comes in 3rd or 4th place after a couple other things I can think of), but regardless, Siege invited a feisty mix of people to come over on Tuesday night and celebrate Katie's birthday Mardi Gras style! Here's the birthday girl presiding over the early guests!
It's pretty fun. Here's a breakdown of how it works from the game's very own Wikipedia entry:
"The goal for each player is to get their team to say the word or word phrase displayed in the disc. One member of a team starts the timer and tries to get his or her team to guess the displayed word or phrase. A clue-giver can make any physical gesture and give almost any verbal clue, but may not say a word that rhymes with any of the words, give the first letter of a word, say the number of syllables, or say part of any word in the clue (e.g., "worry" for "worry wart"). When the team guesses correctly, the other team takes its turn. Play continues until the timer runs out. The team not holding the disc when time runs out scores a point. They also have one chance to guess the word or phrase, with team members allowed to confer; a correct answer earns a bonus point. The first team to score seven points wins."
Five people on a love seat! Awwww. After I took this photo, I put my camera down somewhere and then couldn't find it! I looked and looked, but it totally had disappeared! A couple of minutes later, I returned from getting another drink in the kitchen and it turned up. I turned the camera on...
With this crowd and a couple of drinks it was only a matter of time before someone remarked about KT and/or Meredith's ridiculous bubble-butts and so they naturally went side to side to show them off. KA-POW!
We kicked off the Halloween weekend with a late night, low-key game of Cranium at Siege and Katie's place out in Brooklyn. It was Girls (Marissa, Meredith, Mara and Katie)...
