A couple days after the party, we all received an email from him with a link to a surprise video he'd edited together with all the clandestine hula hooping video he'd shot. It. Is. Amazing. My favorite part is the highlight reel of everyone throwing their hands up and leaning that starts around the 1:45 minute mark (right after Siege does the "white man's overbite") and just keeps getting better. (PS - Make sure you check out Ellen's sideways "tit-sway" at 2:14. Amazing.)
Then a couple songs later, Meredith, KT and Siege joined the party and we all nerded out together. Just cuz you're getting married doesn't mean you gotta grow up or anything! Thanks to everyone for keeping the surprise a secret and for coming out to help me surprise Meredith! It meant so much to have so many people we love be there to share that huge moment in our lives!
Five people on a love seat! Awwww. After I took this photo, I put my camera down somewhere and then couldn't find it! I looked and looked, but it totally had disappeared! A couple of minutes later, I returned from getting another drink in the kitchen and it turned up. I turned the camera on...
With this crowd and a couple of drinks it was only a matter of time before someone remarked about KT and/or Meredith's ridiculous bubble-butts and so they naturally went side to side to show them off. KA-POW!
We kicked off the Halloween weekend with a late night, low-key game of Cranium at Siege and Katie's place out in Brooklyn. It was Girls (Marissa, Meredith, Mara and Katie)...
Our friend Ellen Stagg got hired to shoot the holiday billboards for Viacom's headquarters in Time Square and she asked if Meredith and I wanted to model for it! She explained that we'd just have to show up and kiss a bunch of times and that if we were chosen, our smoochin' photo would end up on a huge billboard in Times Square (and we'd get paid!) On Sunday night, the gang came over to our apartment to play some Cranium. Siege got a "Sense-o-sketch" question (that's where you have to draw with your eyes closed) and made the mistake of blindfolding himself with his own hat! An action that left him vulnerable to...
Next stop on the "It's Siege's Birthday!" party train? Pumps! (For those of you not in the know, Pumps is a shady-ass biker-gang n00dy bar out in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The people at the bar aren't typically too welcoming to "outsiders," but they tolerated us because we showed up with a whole bunch of girls who were all willing to get up on stage and dance! Hahah.
