The software I wrote to manage all my photos and power this site automatically parses-out the timestamp and displays when each photo was taken. This is how I know that this photo was taken at 1:43am. The fact that I can get fries, a delicious falafel and a phylo-dough spinach pie in the middle of the night on a Tuesday is the reason that I'll probably never be able to leave this wonderful, cursed city! I braved the cold for this delicious meal in order to fuel...
Grant was getting ready to go back to Vancouver for a few weeks so we met up for some late night pie at the (disappointingly short-lived) L'asso East Village. Despite being so full of pizza that I could barely walk...
The weather was calling for more rain so none of the diving boats were going out. If the weather wasn't going to improve, I decided it was time to leave the beach-town of Placenia and check out another part of Belize. I had a bunch of time before my 2pm bus, which I tried to fill with this delicious breakfast by the water's edge. Mmmm.
In between hundreds of rounds of throwing Maddy's new toys across the house, I managed to eat about two-thirds of a warmed Brie that was covered in raspberry jam and almonds.
Signed up for a class at General Assembly to go over some Python basics. As a developer, I am C- at C++. (This is my favorite product manager joke. Never fails to get a chuckle from devs)
On Monday evening Grant had a craving for wings (!!!) and I accompanied him on our first visit to one of the many fine new multi-televsioned establishments that have seemingly migrated from Murray Hill into the East Village. I begrudgingly ate some curly fries. (Mmmmm...curly fries).
Afterwards, we walked down to Bowery to grab a bite. On the way, we noticed all sorts of signs of Sandy in the neighborhood. Like these palettes of food piled up on the street outside of the church.
On our way home, we stopped in Phoenicia, NY for a not-so-quick but delicious brunch at Sweet Sue's. Here's Karen laughing about the size of her pancakes.
