On Saturday night, I went out to meet this guy in Williamsburg for beers & pretzels. So much fun. So good. Kicked of the month properly with some Motorino Pizzas. Last course! Dessert, OMG. I had an exotic French/Japanese fusion bagette for dinner. We decided to go out and explore the island culinary offerings and ended up finding a pizza place. About the best you can do as a vegetarian in the Philippines! ..that turned out to be solid! Later that evening, we went out for a late night dinner on the strip. Getting our airport Chinese on. Well, hello there! On Monday evening, Grant arrived back in NYC after visiting his family in the UK. We headed out to Motorino to celebrate his return! Lunch! Sunday morning karaoke recovery started with two of these. The best thing to soothe a karaoke-sore throat? How about a falafel with all the fixings and extra hot sauce! ...ridiculously delicious okonomiyaki ! OMG. Holy moly. Dinner! ...my delicious new friend, taco. Well, hello there! ...you all are way more fun than Skyrim! There was a very happy Seamless mix-up and we somehow ended up with both Thai food and Curly's for lunch. FEAST! Back at Shambhala early on Sunday for the second half of the meditation weekend. Staffing is nice because you get to sit a bunch, but you also get called out of the hall to run errands and set up snacks and create a nice place for the people who are taking the weekend proper. Healthy lunch with Mer and 7B and later in the evening... And Ellen was telling us about how she was really excited for her second date with some guy named Hans (!!!) that she'd met at the dog park. Followed by a delicious empanada dinner... ...middle of the night breakfast! Afterwards, we came back in to get something to eat... Healthy late night snacks! Cracker Barrel chocolate chip pancakes for the win. FRIED DOUGH! ...and then we had ourselves a Chinese feast for two! Had ourselves a nice Thai lunch...
