Friday morning snuggles with the sleepiest ween. (Likes to sleep with her butt on my shoulder.) Maddy likes to smash her face against my face in the morning when she wakes up. ADORABLE. Spent the evening cuddling with my buddy on my biomat listening to podcasts. Made this Baby Maddy vs. Birthday Maddy 9-year time-elapse for Instagram. Brother time at the airport with the ween. Mom couldn't stop crying because she kept thinking about how it was probably dad's last Christmas (it was). On our last night we took family pics by the tree. Beach day in a convertible is pretty great. Took an afternoon snack-run with my favorite lil lizard murdered... Maddy hoping for some turkey. Running errands with the ween on Wednesday. Met up with Gurj and we got lunch and massages on Saturday. Came back to mine afterwards to hang. Maddy kept me company while I did some work in my office. Tuesday afternoon reading with my cuddle buddy. Celebrated Father's Day on Sunday with my favorite lil daughter. Such a happy fuzzworm! ...then Maddy and I hopped in the Wolverine and went exploring the trails on my property at HIGH SPEED! Rainy morning ween snuggles. On Friday Maddy and I headed down to DC... Maddy loves to wake up and go on her morning walk, but some morning she just wants to cuddle a bit first. <3 ...spent some time cuddling with Maddy like she likes. A Monday of being self-employed. Slept in and... Sometimes when I'm on the floor foam rolling, Maddy will come over and just fall into my arms. "Hello, can you love me now?" Adorable. ...with Matt to visit Ellen! Morning cuddles with Maddy makes the winter better. Ah, January in New York! New Year, New Us! I also love Max's serious expression about his seed-podling sword I'd fashioned for him in the yard as he wished me and Maddy farewell. Laughing at Maddy always needing to put her head out the window in the taxi. When that fall weather hits it always helps to cuddle your ween! Maddy like to lay on my biomat heating pad with me. Came home to a dachshund very excited to see me. Was trying to take a regal birthday photo of us together... ...but someone kept trying to slip me the baloney tongue! (Ewwww!) Me and my lil campfire buddy! I took a little reading break (ok, nap break) with my lil fuzz-whistle. ...and we got caught in a DOWNPOUR! Littlest co-pilot. My fave picture of the two of us! <3 This little dum dum resting her chin on the windowsill makes me laugh every time. RV vacation begins now! ...she finally relented to my lap. After we ate, I grabbed the hound and hopped into an Uber I'd hired to drive me all the out to northwestern NJ to pick up... On Saturday morning, we checked out and said farewell before splitting up into separate cars for our drive home. Here's to a brand new year - love you all lots! ;) We probably only lasted about 60 seconds or so, but we got in all the way and that's what counts! The Dude even got in a bit with us to make sure we were going to be alright! Maddy barked and barked from the warm safety of the sand. Three people, three dogs! Xmas dog kisses. Post-pie couch crew. Lap-chicken is very ready to be out of the car! Professional chin-rester Woke up at 8:50am on my 39th birthday and this tiny genius stretched and then collapsed over my arm. She arrived with Piper and The Dude and I rolled up with Maddy and Edie. I accidentally left my brand new cell phone on the bus and my dad had to drive me to the NJ Transit Bus depot... Crystal ball selfie with dog. (Maddy is making a great expression in this pic!) Spent the early evening... Buddy time. As soon as I laid down to read, I got two couch buddies. I tried to keep my mind off of my cricked-neck with podcasts, strawberry ice pops and cuddling my dog's ass with my head. Happy April 2014! Sing your dog a song! Saw Maddy snoozing in the sun and couldn't resist giving her a kiss. She stuck her tongue out at the perfect time! Haha. Woke up on the couch in the middle of the night with this tiny beast cuddling my neck. Awww, best buddy. ...then spent the afternoon reading on the couch with my buddy. Dancing with my dog. On Thursday morning I grabbed Maddy, hopped in a cab up FDR... Brett snapped this pic of my sun-snoozing with my best-bud at 4pm after a long day of walking around in the heat. Took Maddy for a walk and snapped a few selfies of my new haircut so I could update the photos on my online dating profile. Me and squinty, in our matching winter jackets,... Later that night we all cuddled up on the couch... ...hung out with the grimple for a bit (and borrowed Meredith's glasses!). ...and got the royal welcome from the weiner hound! Pre-dinner holiday photo for my dad's holiday newsletter! Maddy eats SO MUCH rawhide, but has trouble eating the knots at the end because they're too big for her mouth. ...and cuddled on the couch. After a long evening of eating pie, Maddy and I put on our matching shirts... It's hard to get the grimple to sit still and cooperate when she's wriggling to lick your faces. And also dogs. Haha. As soon as you lay down on our couch, this tiny visitor jumps up to say hi. I'm usually big spoon. Taking the houndine for a walk later that evening. Later that night Edie got dropped off at our place! Van full of awesome. Dingo! Maddy likes when we have company as it provides her the opportunity to lap-surf. Just me and my bud.
