A little after one, we decided to head back into Manhattan to try to catch up with Apt 3A. ...BLAMO! First Fatty Face of 2010! ...and tiny fur hair-piece. Someone gave Meredith a little fur-collared dog-jacket for Maddy that also doubled as a hand puppet... We arrived at Siege and Katie's just a little before midnight! So fun. I got right down to business and handing out the special "party favors" I brought... After futzing around the apartment and being lazy all evening, we finally rallied and headed out to Siege and Katie's a little before eleven. Six creepy blue eyes. Mer and me. On the way to the airport, we stopped off to have lunch at the Sailfish Marina in West Palm Beach and met up with my grandfather's former girlfriend, June for the second year in a row! (June dated my dad's father for a few years after my grandmother died and before last year's get-together, I hadn't seen her since I was 12 years old!) Back at the house, my mom and Mer got crafty... After dinner, it was time for stocking stuffers! Cupcake decoration kit. Post-dinner food coma. Family dinner. NEED VITAMIN D. Merry Christmas, good one! Dad doing some unwrapping. Mer got... Christmas Eve dinner back at my parent's house. Despite being in our 30s, we were the only "kids" at the party, so we hid out in the corner feeling shy. Haha. Check out that grill, dawg! Hahaha. Merry almost-Christmas! Everyone let me sleep in! I rolled out of bed around 1pm to find Mer and my mom hanging in the living room. ...some delicious La Guardia airport Chinese food! By 6pm we were in a cab to the airport and on our way to enjoying... After we'd finished marveling at the tiny green man's erection, Leigh busted out the big gift... ...ice cream maker! On Sunday evening I went and saw a movie at Union Square with these three! On Saturday afternoon, Matt and Biggy came over for a hang. Careful: WET TAINT. Up in the balcony with these three lovely ladies. Stubby legs. Later that afternoon, we hopped into a cab... Thanksgiving family portrait! Later that night Pauly and Amanda came over. Buds and snacks. We all hung out late! And some delicious Mackerel in Brine. Mmmm, briny! On Friday night we went to see... Kaitie, Ellen, Marina, Meredith. We even had family night when we got home! On Wednesday Pauly came over. Mer and Cat. We ended up... LURKdorable! Holy shit, this was an epic day. Later that night Pauly came over for Family Night and he showed up with CINNAMON ROLLS. Haha. Our pet rat Mitzi was getting old and sick and we spent a lot of time just chilling with her. Later that afternoon, I came back to the apartment and Meredith made... Also noteworthy on Sunday was the custom mouse pad Meredith gave me as a gift out of the blue. A-dorable. (This picture of us is from when we were in Thailand .) Cleavage makes the costume! It took forever to get a photo of Maddy looking towards the camera because in between shots... ...she couldn't resist licking my delicious make-uppy face. Aileen and her friend stopped by in their matching zebra outfits! This one loves the games! Meredith dressed up as a stewardess! Snacks and boners are that way, sir! On Friday night, Meredith and I had a spooky night at home enjoying some Curly's Vegetarian Lunch (mmmmm).... THE JAFFLE MASTER! Winding down. All partied out! Thanks again to Joann & Chuck and to everyone who came (especially all you last-minute guests!). Meredith hid from the light while Hank made buddies with Biggy. We all piled into taxis... Clearing the dance floor and taking home table roses at 12:15! ("Looks like those double-scotches finally caught up with you, Dr. Rosepenis.") After the team had proven their trustworthiness, we grabbed Joann! Ready for a ride? Hands free! Which led to the great idea of practicing our Hava Nagila skills. I volunteered to take (the much drunker) team for a test drive. (Actual re-enactment.) Towards the end of the night, someone had the genius idea to recreate Meredith's fall from the chair earlier in the evening. Haha. I love how Fatty's reaching in to lend a hand.
