I must admit. It's sort of interesting to be driving around the corporate office parks of Lindhearst, NJ and suddenly see a crenellated tower rise up out of nowhere.

On Monday morning I was up early to fly to Charlotte, NC for work. There was a beautiful sky behind Brooklyn when I was crossing over the East River.

We left a little before 10am. It was about a thirty-minute boat ride out to the first dive spot. The scenery was amazing. I love how the water turns from deep blue to turquoise.

On the drive back, we decided to find somewhere on the lake to have lunch!

We got married in a gazebo on the hill next to the mansion overlooking the lake.

Lake Tahoe is incredible close up. I've never seen a lake with such bright blue water.

After spending a month between the Dubai desert and the tropics of Thailand, coniferous trees looked strange. It's always surprising how little time away it takes to make the familiar seem foreign.

Twenty six hours after we boarded a plane in Bangkok, we found ourselves in cab leaving JFK.

It rained most of the ferry ride, but as we neared the Chumphon Ferry terminal, the rain stopped...

Then, about 20 minutes later, the clouds rolled in AGAIN, and we decided to just give up and head back to our hut and relax and rain before getting caught in a monsoon.

We got to Long Beach and got all set up on the beach. We spent 15 minutes slathering each other with suntan lotion so that we wouldn't get baked by the Thai sun (you have seen how white the two of us are, right?) and about 10 minutes later, clouds rolled in out of nowhere and it started to rain.

...and decided to head back to Long Beach and spend the day there.
