After we ate, I grabbed the hound and hopped into an Uber I'd hired to drive me all the out to northwestern NJ to pick up... On the way home I stopped at the outdoor gym and did some exercises! Trying to keep my fitness up a few weeks in advance of my FORTIETH BIRTHDAY! eeeek! Had some pretty solid beach hair when I got home. Beach crew portrait! NEVER WATCH TV! We did facemasks on the balcony... Caught a couple of shows back at the festival and then went out... ...and I picked up some sunscreen and a hat! This was the best of the bunch, if you can believe it! Back home in NY on Wednesday. Spent the afternoon taking care of my plants! ...our related, messy, morning hair! By Monday evening I was finally feeling quasi-recovered from my sickness. Spent the evening making Valentine phone calls... That afternoon, Vin posted this excellent drawing of me and Eric P, based on a photo of us from September 2015 Finally feeling better on Sunday, but woke up to... The sickness is real. Januarys in New York can be rough! ...and then it wasn't long until we spent the rest of the week feeding him by hand. Hahaha. Found some solid pics from our college graduation that are on this site but were scanned with 1990s technology , so I took some higher resolution copies and sent them over. During this time in my life I felt really unsure about things. In addition to trying to get better at formal songwriting - I've also been trying to get better at just letting music flow out of me! Celebrated the longest day of the year by writing a quick 8-bar loop, then pressing record and playing without thinking. Came out sounding summery.
