And here's my reaction to opening a card and finding a slip for a pre-ordered Amazon Kindle from Mer's parents. Holy moly, awesome gift! Thanks so much!
After Dens party, I went over to Hanger Bar for a bit, and when I went home about an hour later sans keys, Meredith was fast asleep and not responding to calls or door-buzzings by my locked-outside-ass. Here's me taking a grumpy photo of myself in our apartment lobby at 3am.
Look at me totally off my mark! I was pulling my best tough guy face when everyone else had clearly decided (even Piper!) that it was a cute and cuddly moment. Check out Piper's tongue! As soon as we saw it sticking out in this photo, we decided to play our favorite Piper-game...
On Saturday morning, I was (obviously) feeling a little lazy and elected to skip the whole "getting dressed" nonsense and go directly to reading cool articles on the interweb. I guess I lost track of time and was sitting there long enough for Meredith to grab my camera and take this totally sneaky photo of unaware-me browsin' in the buff. After years of posting all sorts of compromising and embarrassing photos of friends and strangers alike, I figured it's only fair to post horribly embarrassing pics of me as well!
The only bummer part of the day was the my Xbox had just recently turned red ring of death on me and the warranty had expired. Wah-wah. So I had to buy ANOTHER one. Meh!
And a little past 5pm, I turned in my (holy-shit-I-look-like-a-hippy) work ID (this photo was taken right after I'd gotten back from traveling Korea and Japan)...
...this totally dirty-by-accident photo! Holy moly! But one thing's for sure, it certainly clears up any doubts anyone had about Lisa's ability to, ummm, work the mic.
Hahaha. This is the wrongest photo I have that still makes me LOL. I think it's the balloon that somehow makes it that extra bit of wonderful-terrible. Well, that and the face-rape.
On my way out, I ran into some little kids doing late night (12:30am!) trick or treating with their mom and they liked my make up so we stopped and took photos together. Zombie Ballerina!
Then I got busy whipping together my own last-minute Halloween costume! I decided to make use of the awesome Cobra Kai t-shirt (sent to me courtesy of 80sTees.com) and dress up as Sweep the Leg Johnny! I grabbed one of Meredith's eyeliners (sorry!) and got to work!
Just when everyone thought things couldn't get any gayer, Javier picked me up, spun me around and then pushed me face-down (ass-up!) onto the hassock...
His dip turned even more sensual when he lowered me slowly to the ground in his manly arms...and then proceeded to try to...um...hmmm...make me gay through hypnosis?
On Team Twig N' Berries, Siege and I elected Javier as our defacto performer. His over-the-top willingness to abuse whomever was his puppet made him a no-brainer. Here's me captured in the midst of pulling my "WTF" face when Javier simultaneously dipped me and hiked up my shirt.
Ouch. I went to the doctor and it turned out to be another staph infection. He hypothesized that I picked up a different type of staph bacteria in Thailand from scuba equipment that hadn't been properly sterilized. Divers, take note! (After you're done marveling at my Rudolph-red nose, if you look at my jawline, you'll notice that one of my lymph nodes is so swollen that you can actually see it!)
By midnight, the "irritation" on my nostril had turned into a swollen, painful, honking nightmare. I texted my doctor and told him that I needed to see him first thing in the morning. Ouch.
Ratso was getting jealous about us fawning over two dogs so I had to take her over to the couch for a solo pet-down! She liked to rest her chin on your hand while your scratched her back! Rats really are like the world's tiniest dogs. It's a shame that they have such a bad rap - if more people got to see how good they are with people, maybe they wouldn't find them so creepy. (PS - Look, I'm wearing my glasses! I never wear them because my optometrist thought she was doing me a favor by polarizing my glasses for me for free! On the upside, it helps protect my photosensitive eyes from UV rays when I wear them in and/or near sunlight. On the downside, it makes me look like Larry David.)
