We were supposed to go to Sarah's birthday party on Saturay, but it was cancelled when her friend Marc Spitz died suddenly. (RIP, Mark! <3) I had to run some errands on Thursday so Meredith came over to hang with Coney. Meredith & Jane Anne came over early to hang out. On Monday Meredith & Gurj came over to eat and hang! We ended up making 3d models. Lol. Meredith photo-retouching! Meredith had recently broken up with Dylan and our HEARTBREAK HOTEL agreement always stands so she came to stay on the couch for a few days and took turns holding the dogs until she felt better. ...and had ourselves an old-fashioned pizza party. Later that evening, Matt, Meredith & Ellen came over! Mer was getting ready to take a trip with Dylan for the first time! ...Mer, J-rod and Gurj came over for Tiny's Giant Sandwiches and a mega-hang! Meredith was in the neighborhood because she was working on getting her name changed back (Awwww, gain a Battjer - lose a Battjer!) and came over for an afternoon pizza party! Hung out with Mer & Maddy on Saturday night. And then later that evening, I practicing reiki on Mer. Mer came back to my place to hang out for a bit and worked on some freelance photo retouching. Mer came over on Wednesday afternoon so we could go through the 36-page draft of our divorce agreement that our mediator had drafted for us. Afterwards, we looked over at each other's recently-created OKCupid profiles and had a laugh. I spent Saturday traveling back to NYC after my awesome two-week trip to Belize . That evening Ellen came over to join us for the Mad Men season finale and Grant's puttanesca pasta with garlic bread and salad. Monday evening hang. Watching documentaries. Silent grazing. After we got back from our New Year's Eve trip down in Florida , Gurj came over on Wednesday night for a hang. ...then began the cooperative drum-set assembly process. Let's hear it for teamwork! (We ended up playing A LOT of Rock Band that night). After getting parked and unpacked, we ordered pickup from Wacky Wok (which Brett paid for with $40 he found sitting in the ATM cash tray at the restaurant! Score!) Beach & Dim Sum food coma recovery party / nap festival at our place! On Friday night the Cravens were in town! We met up at our apartment for a few warm up drinks... ...while Meredith made and packed a bunch of sandwiches... Meredith made an AMAZING mushroom risotto for dinner. Philip and Biba were in town from the UAE and came over to say hi to Tuesday. On Saturday we went and bought some new furniture. We spend the rest of the afternoon, unpacking and making room for it to be delivered! Sarah! Sarah, Mer, Cat and Cynthia. On Saturday we finally felt settled into our new place enough to invite people over for a little Saturday night boardgame get-together. Done for the night!
