a thing in 389 photos edie Meredith helped me transport the hounds crosstown. Happy New Year. 2014, here we go! All three! On the very first morning of 2014, Piper & Edie helped keep Ellen cozy while she waited for... Mer came over to my place a little after 9pm, and we walked with the dogs over to the West Village... Hahah. ...and we tried to get Edie to pose with her new, creepy friends. There's a really good photo of an Edie doppleganger on the fridge! ...with my terrifying pack of Halloween Hell Hounds! Dachshund infestation! On the walk home, Maddy ran into her doppleganger (dapple-ganger?), Esther! You guys look like ME! They are always so excited to see each other! Enjoyed the sun set with Edie. Squad. Bunk buddies. On Wednesday afternoon, Leigh and Randy came by to drop off this little visitor for a few weeks while they traveled! Happy July 2013! The morning coffee Grant brings me is usually served up with a few AC/DC and/or Iron Maiden songs. Haha. (Bonus points to Edie for having her back-half on Grant's lap and her front-half on a pillow-fortress). Walking the ladies. Woke up Tuesday morning to find these two rough-housing on the couch and making weird goose-honking noises at each other. ...and then she pulls her head out and attacks Edie! Repeat times one-hundred. Maddy likes to play this game where she buries her head under a blanket (she can't see anything so she thinks she's invisible?)... Finished up early enough to take a late-afternoon nap with these two bozos. Bookends. I tried to make Edie green! Later that evening, Edie came over to stay for a bit. Two dogs, one lap! Leigh is the MASTER of photoshopped party invites! Here's her Martha-Stewart-cooking-an-Edie-turkey Thanksgiving Invite! Hahaha. They get better every year! Jeet crashed on the couch and got her legs snuggled by these two idjits. Haha. (I hung out with Catrinel in the evening, but didn't take any pics I guess!) Frozen fruit bars for dessert. Strawberry Popsicle Lounging. I was trying to get a photo of Maddy's head all tucked under Jeet's feet... ...but she woke up when she heard me giggling. Haha. Except for these two. Sunday was my last day of dog-sitting Edie so I wanted to get my two-houndsworth. Had a little couch time with Edie. ...to hang out with these two. After work, I packed Edie up in a bag... Lazy sunday! Was going to head out to the beach, but ended up hanging around the neighborhood with these three halfwits. Honkfest. On Monday morning Ryan dropped off an Edie with us. Double weinerage! No cameras, please! Hahaha. Dog shades? On Wednesday I took Maddy over to Leigh and Ryan's. I love my Edie shirt so much. After a nice relaxing swim, Edie got gang-brushed! Hold her down!
On Thursday afternoon, I went over to the LES to hang with Edie. Edie and Maddy pay close attention... ...to Vin eating a slice. Haha. See you guys later! Hound X walk over to... Handsomest houndine. I brought along my new camera and was playing around with it getting used to shooting with it in different settings. ...out to meet up with Edie, Leigh & Ryan. On Thursday afternoon, I went over to Leigh's and we hung out with... ...Little Red Riding Hood! Edie is pretty used to being subjected to all sorts of costumes and headwear. On Saturday night I brought Maddy over to Ryan and Leigh's... Maddly LOVES Edie so much. Haha. Edie's cheeks were getting smooshed by her spandex headpiece. Haha. Costume buddies. ...with EDIE AS A CAN OF DIET COKE! In other homemade costume news, Ryan and Leigh were there... At 1pm, Edie's number was called and Ryan took her on her costume parade lap. ...Matt and Ty came over! Blessed with armrests . Edie was excited to have a new bed to nap in all day. We had both Maddy and Edie with us! Late Thursday night, Leigh came by and dropped off Edie! Ryan caressed Edie's silky turkey-bone... Treat party. ...an Edie look-a-like! She was just like Edie except she had a tinier beak. After, they came back to our place and played with the hounds. Edie and Maddy are almost the same size and they look like negatives of each other! Later that night Edie got dropped off at our place! Leigh, Randy and Edie! It's hard to look cool when you've got a nose dribble, Edie. Edie loves a bag so much that if you open the top she'll jump right in. Pull up a box and relax, Edie! Edie came too. Hallway dog-fight! On Thursday night I hung with these two. Scott and Edie were on the couch howling. Edie enjoys her bag so much that she'll continue to hang out inside even after arriving. Later that night we emailed Leigh the picture of the dogs we met and she texted us this photos of the hounds back in NYC. Haha. Edie love a mini bagel. Dogs, in general, aren't big fans of rock shows. I think Dana really captured her dog nature! Later that night I hung out with Leigh and Edie (which was great timing on my part because I was wearing my Edie shirt !). We were dogsitting Edie so there were plenty of doogs to go around. On Saturday afternoon my parents came into town to see our honeymoon photos and have dinner. Leigh explained this to us and then demonstrated. "See? Stackable hounds!" Hahaha. Leigh's building has a lot of stairs. The dogs can climb UP stairs, but they have trouble descending steep stairs and need to be carried down them (because of their midgety legs and long wienery bodies). Turns out that the easiest way to get both dogs downstairs for a walk is TO STACK THEM! ...to pick up Maddy! Leigh and Scott had graciously agreed to watch our hound for us while we were away getting married on on our honeymoon ! Dog park. Thai feast for lunch! Dogs couch-battling and honking at each other. We dog-napped Edie! Nap time with a buddy. Edie got a new bed and it's like a padded little dog box. I love her right-angle back! Aw. Ooooh, Edie in trouble! Whenever Edie's been REALLY bad, she gets the ultimate punishment: picked up in her skin suit! Dana painted a portrait of Edie and Edie got her very own portrait t-shirt ! On Sunday morning we put the dogs in bags (no cages but bags are ok!)... Edie prefers to referee.
