On Saturday morning, we packed up the snooch, hopped in a cab to the Port Authority... ...and took her to the dog park. Maddy was in awe... Maddy favorite place is Leg Alley. So hunchy. Buddies! Faisal was in town and came by on Wednesday night! ...at Cherry Tavern. Back at the homestead later that evening, Meredith took some boring old pretzels... On Thursday evening, we threw the dog in a bag... After we got back from our New Year's Eve trip down in Florida , Gurj came over on Wednesday night for a hang. Maddy really likes looking out the window any time she's in a moving vehicle. Quiet night at home I want to smash her speckly body so hard. Maddy hardly has any hair and pretty much requires clothing to not constantly shiver once the temp drops below seventy degrees. We packed up our bug and headed home. Snuggle buds. Later that evening, Ellen came over for a hang. We fed her lots of home cooked food and then settled in for... All packed up and ready to go! So lucky to know it. We had both Maddy and Edie with us! On Wednesday night, our neighbor Russel came by and claimed his two hounds. Maddy was pretty excited to have us all to herself again. ...and feeling cuddly, there's really nothing better. I came home from the store to find this going on in the living room. It's hard to get the grimple to sit still and cooperate when she's wriggling to lick your faces. Later that night, my parents drove us back up to the bus and we headed home! Congrats, John & Lindsey! Thanks so much for having us! Maddy likes to drag her wienery body through the grasses of suburbia. These two fuggers were conked out before 8pm... Late Thursday night, Leigh came by and dropped off Edie! Saying goodbye to these two on my way to work in the morning. Once it nuzzles in, it's instantly sleepy. Saying goodbye to the ladies on my way out the door to work. Squintsor. Mer and Maddy. Things worth noting: Meredith reads Heinlein and Maddy sleeps with her arms out and eyes half-open like a tiny zombie! Came home later to find these two curled up together. I came home to find Maddy crashed out on Meredith's shoulder. Awwww, tiny nuzzler. ...and piled back into the van to head home! We stuffed the dogs in bags... The entire yard was filled with little children who were IN LOVE with Maddy but were in constant danger of trampling her tiny wiener body. Meredith eventually came up with a system where she'd put Maddy in a bag and then bend down so the girls could pet her. Van full of awesome. Post roof-nap nap. Maddy keeps diligent watch from her legs. Later that afternoon, we took all the dogs over to the park and there was a special surprise waiting there for Maddy... Snapped a photo of these two canoodling on the couch on my way out the door to work on Thursday morning. Good book! (Fates Worse Than Death by Kurt Vonnegut) (Before putting it on our tiny dog, we both took turns wearing it and barking to make sure it wasn't too inhumane. Verdict: Not pleasant, but definitely not terrible). It took Maddy all of two barks to figure out what the collar was there to prevent. Aw, tiny little future-prisoner!
