We had both Maddy and Edie with us! Friday afternoon, we packed up our stuff... On Wednesday night, our neighbor Russel came by and claimed his two hounds. Maddy was pretty excited to have us all to herself again. ...and watched some show. ...to play frisbee with a light up frisbee ! ...so we rounded up all the snacks and headed back downstairs. By 5:30, it hadn't gotten too chilly to stay by the pool... ..before heading up to the roof. Quick congregation in the kitchen... ...and feeling cuddly, there's really nothing better. I came home from the store to find this going on in the living room. Mike and Tanya were in town visiting from San Francisco and came by to hang out! ...then met up with Quinn for brunch! The whole place is filled with interesting thing everywhere you look. Back inside... When I moved to New York in 1999, John was the first person I knew who'd converted a industrial space into a multi-person loft. He gave me all sorts of advice when we built out our loft space in Greenpoint in 2000! He'd since moved into a newer, bigger space and was in the process of building it out. While these guys worked on dinner... On Thursday night, Mer and I went to dinner at John's! It's hard to get the grimple to sit still and cooperate when she's wriggling to lick your faces. Wednesday was our first wedding anniversary! We celebrated with a family portrait. ...our one-year wedding anniversary! I love you, good one! Thanks for spending my life with me! Somewhere in the swamps of Jersey. That afternoon, we borrowed my mom's car and drove across southern Jersey so Meredith could attend her friend Mandy's bridal shower! On Friday night after work, Meredith and I took the train down to south Jersey to my parents house! We got shit-hammered and ended up going back to Matt's place! ... PIRANHA 3D! Unfortunately, this is the last photo of Meredith and I together on this trip! A little before 8pm, we grabbed our bags and headed downstairs to grab a cab. These two fuggers were conked out before 8pm... Adorableness. Matt jumped so high he was out of frame! ...and got off at Brooklyn Bridge ...out to Brooklyn... OOOOOOATS. Kim, Jessie & Matt. Later that night, Mer and I went for Italian on 4th street. Meredith in eye liner! Later that evening, I hung out with this one... I had such an amazing weekend. Thanks, everyone! I love you! They also require men and women to wear uniforms while at the spa! The women's uniforms are orange and pink. So excited to check it out after hearing about it for so many years! ...joined forces with Pauly & Cynthia and drove out to Queens for a day at... A little after noon, Mer and I met up with Matt, took the subway out to Brooklyn... Ellen came over and hung out after. Pink noses! Lucky! Sunny Mer. Instead of ice cream cake, we just had an Ice cream soup party! ...is that she had brought along an ICE CREAM CAKE to surprise me with! Breaking out the beach sweater! I love this picture! The best thing about having an August birthday is that you can invite people to the beach to celebrate your birthday! A little before noon, we met up with Matt and Karen at the CVS by the 1st Ave subway to stock up on beach supplies... Late Thursday night, Leigh came by and dropped off Edie! Two men were arguing loudly the entire time it took us to eat our falafels. AWKWARD! Saying goodbye to these two on my way to work in the morning. Once it nuzzles in, it's instantly sleepy. Back at the homestead, I had a relaxing night on the couch with these two. Back at the homestead, Meredith spent the rest of the evening inventing different kinds of home-made ice pops. ) <3 Beach & Dim Sum food coma recovery party / nap festival at our place! DESTINATION! ...but then their eyes would snap open and we'd all have to pretend that we weren't just taking sneaky sleepy photos! BUSTED! Hahaha. On the subway ride home Gurj and Christina were so tired that their leeetle eyes kept closing and I kept trying to take sneaky pics of them dozing off... Bright-shirt contest.
