Later that evening, Amy's sister Emily joined us from Brooklyn and we got our Thai feast on. ...and Brett and Amy came to stay with me for a couple days in New York! We also scored scarves! After Brett and I had gone a few times, and gone back and forth beating each other's high scores, my mom put the headset on for a try. After dinner, I set up my laptop so Brett & mom could try out the Neurosky headset. On the way home, we stopped off at the store to pick up some playing cards and treats. On Sunday Brett and I went for a bike ride! ...before the next sandwich! A brief post-sandwich nap... Lunch on the back porch with the fam. On Tuesday morning, we got coffee and then borrowed a shovel from our super-nice neighbors so Brett could dig the car out! Houndstooth. Amy's sister Emily joined us and we ordered us a BREAKFAST FEAST! Check out the spread! Near the road it was piled up waist deep! ...then began the cooperative drum-set assembly process. Despite his eye protection,Brett's eyebrows had significant accumulation by the time we'd made it over to 1st & 18th. Brett improvised and used his sunglasses as goggles. Haha Back at the apartment, we dragged out all the gear so that we could play the new game (Rock Band 3 ) that Brett had just given me! It turns my drum set was broken... After dinner, we walked over to Video Games New York so Brett and I could buy each other belated gifts! And also so we could.. After getting parked and unpacked, we ordered pickup from Wacky Wok (which Brett paid for with $40 he found sitting in the ATM cash tray at the restaurant! Score!) Pre-dinner holiday photo for my dad's holiday newsletter! Around 4pm we all got cleaned up for company and even humored my mom and put on the matching sweaters! And some multi-colored chip-clips. Score! What other things were in the stocking? ...that my dad got one as well! Hahah. Speaking of a Christmas story, the next morning my brother and I opened presents from our mother to find matching sweaters! And it turned out... Assorted hot chocolate flavors. Thanks for having us all down. We had an amazing time! ...headed back to the bar for the big dance party that was going on. ...for a duet with Brett. (Anyone remember the song?) Brett and Amy opted for the "simultaneous-cake-feed" method which drastically reduces the chance that only one person will get cake smashed into their face. It's both or none.
