Grant played host to my parents while they were visiting Vancouver. He sent me this pic before they went to dinner! Was reading on the couch when I looked up to catch my dad and his brother Bruce catch up and joke around through the window. On Sunday I went out to NJ to visit my family and celebrate Father's Day. Happy Father's Day, Brian Sr! ...and tire him out nice and quick. On Friday morning I packed my bags and said farewell to the exuberant grandparents. Your kid has a kid! Hoping it's chocolate...hoping it's chocolate! ...who needed a post-breakfast nap! It was fun getting to see my parents be grandparents for the first time. Nice to meet you, sleepy guy! We pulled up to our old house... On Sunday morning, we all piled in my dad's truck and headed over to the beach on Long Beach Island. Grandma came down on Saturday to BBQ and hang with the family. ...to spend Memorial Day with the family. Bretty playing tug-o-war with Maddy while my dad takes orders for the grill. Later that evening we stopped off at a Walmart to pick up a few things. My parents had to get cards and they both immediately went to the "fart joke" sub-section of the Birthday Cards. Haha. Later that afternoon, my dad busted out his golf cart (that has his and my mom's name on it!)... Headed back home! Up bright and early hanging out with my folks. Family dinner later that evening. When everybody is all dressed up my parents like to take a group photo so they can include it in the Holiday email my dad sends around (which is like the newsletter version of this site for older people. Post Christmas breakfast! The weather forecast was calling for heavy snow and by the time we'd finished eating... After dinner we played more Wii Golf.
