3/4 of Fiasco lament their cancelled first-show. After a few Cherry Tavern specials to numb the pain, we all headed over to...

Only Fatty can look lost in a bar.

Seriously, who loves posing with drunk strangers more than us? (Ps - Check out Grant's "modern dance" legs. It's a nice touch, don't you think?)
fatty
Where we met up with Amanda (seen here in a super-rare sans-glasses photo!) and Grant.
fatty
Since we were all pretty much recovering from my going away party earlier in the week (and also since I'd used "Hey, I'm moving" as an excuse to party pretty much every single night for the past five weeks) we decided to play it low-key and have a mellow last night at Misshapes. Here's Fatty, Amy and I on the cab ride over.
fatty
In the AM I met up with Grant and the Fatty for one final Dim Sum brunch down in Chinatown. (Where after years of eating there with us, Fatty finally spoke up and told us "Hey, you know what? I don't even really like dim sum.")
fatty
On Thursday night (T-minus three days!) my roommate Victoria cooked a nice dinner and invited some of my friends over for a low-key dinner party. Here's The Fatty, Tinnz, Charlene and Grant (Sarah was there later on!)
fatty
Caitlin works at an ice cream store and showed up at the party with a garbage bag full of pints. Look at the drunkies I found out on the backporch getting their ice cream on. I think I caught Emily in the middle of a "ow, fuck! Brainfreeze!" moment.
fatty
The Fatty (wearing the shirt I got him for his birthday) and Ellen.
fatty
"Hey, remember the last time we sang karaoke and totally hooked up?" "Uh, yeah. Wait, what was your name again?" Hahahahaha.
fatty
Colin (aka - Big Daddy, Bill and the King of Clocks) and the Fatty (sporting his sporty "I'm wearing a JFK Jr wig" look).
fatty
Fatty and Grant for brunch at Clinton Street bakery. (Where Grant modeled his new German-soldier-from-the-future hairdo. Ubertastic!
fatty
Sweet Maria!
fatty
All this fooling around was making Fatty feel amorous.
fatty
But Emily wasn't having any of that.
fatty
Doug and Fatty posing on my weird new couch.
fatty
Just in case there was any doubt about who planned this party (*cough* Frank's Mom *cough*), all the guests received silver lasagna serving spatulas. So awesome. Congrats Frank and Liz! Now get to work on some grandchildren already, will ya?

Frank and Fatty.

Fatty busting out some moves he learned off of his "Kid N' Play Dancetastic" DVD.
fatty
Grant started to say something and his lip stuck to his teeth. Hahahah.
fatty
Three bozos. Grant, Fatty and me arriving at the reception in CT. (Note the accidental irony in Fatty doing the "L is for Loser" handsign backwards. Hahah).
fatty
Fatty, Liz, Mike, Colin and Heather.
fatty
Close-up. (How sweet is that KISS rock lettering?)
fatty
Hahaha.
fatty
Fatty showing off the silver sparkle t-shirt I had custom made for him.
fatty
I arrived much too early and found the birthday boy doing some touch-up paint work around his apt.
fatty
Fatty posing in front of the brand new kosher grocery that opened up across the street from his apt.
fatty
After saying goodbye, Grant and the Fatty took off around 3:30 to go get them some Criff Dogs on St. Mark's by Fatty's house.
fatty
Meredith and Cat rub some titties while a newly revitalized Fatty (I told you Sparks works!) is all smiles in the background.
fatty
The basement of 6s and 8s is only lit with blacklights. Here's a picture of Fatty's shirt.
fatty
Grant, Cat and Fatty (looking like a cola ad from the 80s).
fatty
Grant, Fatty and Amanda...this might be the first unofficial photo of FiASCO.
fatty
Grant, Amanda, Fatty (peeking over) and Joanna. (PS - Is it me or are Grant and Joanna making the same exact face in this pic?)
fatty
Awwww, look at tired Fatty. He's like an advertisement for someone that needs a Sparks' Pick-me-up.
fatty
A little past eight, we decided to hit the subway and head back to town.
fatty
After a few beers, Karen made the mistake of turning to Dave and saying "You know, I think you're the only one of Brian's friends whose balls haven't been placed in uncomfortably close proximity to my face for a photo." (For any of you newcomers see here) and here
fatty
On to Coney Island! Sarah and the Fatty on the boardwalk (check out the guy behind Fatty accidentally making faces at him).
fatty
Hey, hey! It's Frank the Bachelor!
fatty
4am found us back in the East Village at Odessa's for some late night grub.
fatty
Just to be safe, we made sure Grant was suited up. Hahaha.
fatty
The gang getting ready to chow down. (PS - Already at this early point in the night, Chef, who you can barely see peeking out behind Colin, was so wasted that he kept screaming at the restaurant and almost had us thrown out).
fatty
The Fatty sipping on a cerveza.
fatty
Here's the gang cheering him on.
fatty
With Frank properly attired, we instructed the driver to make a few victory laps around Soho so we could shoot the shit and have a few drinks before our first destination: Blue Mountain BBQ on Spring St.
fatty
Big Daddy, Fatty and Seth.
fatty
Bellies full o' BBQ, we hopped back into the limo and looked to Seth for the next destiniation.
fatty
Grant, the Fatty and me. We made it up to Sarah's rooftop just in time to catch the start of...
fatty
Oh, so I forgot to mention. On the walk over to Sarah's, I ran into my friend Emily on the street who pointed out David Lee Roth's new two-storey apartment to me. I won't give away his exact address, but suffice it to say, one of the floors has a prominent balcony that overlooks a heavily foot-trafficked area of the Lower East Side). Anyway, she told me that according to rumor, DLR was having a huge Fourth of July party on his balcony. When I relayed this info to Grant and the Fatty, we all decided that we had no choice: we had to round up a group and attempt to crash it.
fatty
After the fireworks (and brainings) were finished, we headed back down to Sarah's apartment...
fatty
Colin, Bill (Colin's Hair), Fatty and two girls whose names I've since forgotten (sorry!)
fatty
The Fatty!
fatty
Fatty and Jack.
fatty
Hey look it's Giorgio and Gianguido! The two guys visiting from Italy that Fatty and I met playing frisbee in the park! We invited them to the prom and they came! (The even got dressed up!) It's nice! I like!
fatty
Kat, Amber and the Fatty.
fatty
Amber, Fatty, Vin, Aya and Kat all came over to my apartment and we had ourselves a few drinks and shot the shit - and then when it got late enough to avoid the crowds, we started walking west. Here's Amber (looking like a lil' Disney cartoon) and the Fatty.
fatty
The show was really good, but Grant got in trouble for jumping around on stage too much (seriously) and so this was unfortunately his last show as rhythm guitarist in the band.
fatty
Higher!
fatty
More of Grant's aerial shennanigans! Pretty high, right?
fatty
The Fireworks Go Up record is really, really good, but I've got to be honest with you. I was only there to see one thing:
fatty
If you're looking to capture the jump-shots, you gotta shoot with an itchy shutterfinger. I saw movement and snapped figuring Grant was getting ready to launch into another big kick and instead managed to capture this totally awkward (sideway?) leg kick. Hahaha.
fatty
...the craziest, highest rock n' roll jump kick I've ever seen in my life. If only DLR (who lives less than a block away, incidentally) could've been there to see it - he would've wept with joy knowing his heir apparent lives. (This is so wallpaper worth - click here for the hi-res version).
fatty
The Fatty sweating it up on the bass.
fatty
Hahaha. The fact that Fatty and Grant are making eye contact make this "Back to the Future" moment even funnier.
fatty
Hahahah. What's up, we look eight.
fatty
After the grilling was done, we hit Ave A to wash down our burgers with some cones.
fatty
Later that night we went to Fatty's apartment on St. Marks and had ourselves a little back-patio barbeque.
fatty
Dave grillin' 'em up.
fatty
We were laying in the park and Fatty went off to the bathroom. When he came back, Grant's started laughing and making fun of his cut-off jean shorts and sleeveless tee outfit. Here he is saying "What? What's so funny?"
fatty
Hey ladies, do you like our manly cut-off jean short legs?
fatty
That's right, turns out Fatty had graciously decided to bring me a matching pair out cut-off jean shorts.
fatty
I was laughing along until I remember that I'd asked Fatty to grab me a pair of shorts when we'd met up at his house earlier in the day.
fatty
I tricked Grant into posing with the bag of marshmallows while Fatty snuck up behind and executed a flawless (and hairless!) braining. Hahahah.
fatty
Fatty snuggles with Jericho. After s'mores, we went to the nearby elementary school yard and played three hours of frisbee with my amazing light up frisbee and then after we'd all sobered up, we packed it in and drove back to NYC super late at night.
fatty
By the time we'd arrived, the boys that had come over across the lake in Tim's boat were quite a few drinks ahead of us.
fatty
Fatty half-heartedly rocked out in the backseat...
fatty
...and then promptly fell asleep. On the road, I kept calling Scott trying to tell him that we were on our way and to wait for us at Tim's dock, but he'd forgotten his phone and Tim's boat, the "SS Farley," sailed across glorious Lake Hopatcong without us. Boooooo!
fatty
Fatty and I were tired so we stopped at a bodega for some weird, bullet shaped energy drinks. There were only two can left...
fatty
Fatty at the helm of his probe.
fatty
Fatty and Big Daddy.
fatty
On Friday, I went to see Grant and Fatty in (the now defunct band) Fireworks Go Up play a show at Don Hill's. If you squint, you'll notice two parenthetical blurs in the middle of the stage - those were created by Grant's feet during a double-legged DLR kick that I managed to just barely capture.
fatty
With Grant still away (he was in the UK and then Spain for a few weeks chilling with his family), Fatty had some serious comedy slack to pick up. Luckily, he was up for the challenge, hunchedly chasing this snooty fur shawl-wearing lady down Park Ave while making a silly "I'm tip-toeing" face on our way back from playing Frisbee in the Sheep's Meadow in Central Park. Comedy gold, I tell ya. Later that night, a whole bunch of us met up in the East Village to celebrate...
fatty
Awww! Look at the linked-arm drinking buddies. So cah-yoot.
fatty
Later that night we convened at Motor City to start celebrating Vin's 28th birthday! Yay! Here's Vin and the Fatty as the "Pleather Twins."
fatty
We quickly left the park and Fatty told me he needed an ice cream to help chase away the lingering heebies he'd picked up during our witness of public man-animal love. (Extra sprinkles were never needed so badly.)
fatty
...this fucking amazing picture. Hahaha. Look at Fatty's eyebrows!
fatty
Is there anything in the world better than a photo where Fatty's giving the cocked, disco eyebrow?
fatty
I met up with Vin and then we walked over to the Fatty's apartment on the way over to do some people watching in Thompkins Square Park.
fatty
Shortly after, Vin left to run some errands and Fatty laid down and got a muddy back. After sitting around shooting the shit for another 30 minutes or so, the Fatty and I decided to take a walk around and enjoy the Spring sunshine.
fatty
...COLLEGE BOXES! Hahaha. In fact, NYC has such a surplus of college box that they actually pack it up and export it to less fortunate cities. Here's Fatty posing with a box full of fresh college box bound for less-warm clime.
fatty
I met up for the traditional brunch with Fatty and Grant over at Theresa's on 2nd Ave. Here's Fatty with his new breakfast concoction, the JHam Sandwich. (Jam and ham, get it? Oh, you did? You were just too busy throwing up in your mouth? Ahh, I see.) *BURP*
fatty
Big Fatty the bass player poses with Little Fatty the bass player.
fatty
Fatty carrying the last of his Ikea booty to the car.
fatty
Oh, and to eat some Ikea cafeteria Swedish meatballs.
fatty
On Thursday evening Fatty and I headed out to the Ikea in Jersey to pick up some fancy, expensive, high-quality Scandinavian furniture.
fatty
Hey, after fighting the crowds we needed nourishment.
