Met up with Grant at the Tompkins crescent of benches (The Crez) Cheated fall with a late September visit to Coney Island with Grant. ...in order to Ride Jetskis in the East River for the THIRD TIME . LOL. Someone brought along little sailor hats so that we could have a lil photo opp. ...with Grant & Cheeky. One for the books, for sure! Everybody lean in! Beach crew portrait! So nice to see you, Charlene! So sophisticated! ...so we decided to grab a few drinks and say farewell. ...to up our beach-pose ante. We went up to Grand Central and caught the Metro North train up to... This guy makes crazy things happen always! <3 Grant came over a little before midnight and we walked over to the football field at East River Park for an awesome session of night frisbee! One of my most favorite things in the world! Stopped at some huge indoor market and got snacks and freshly baked donuts... We made it back to our cars in around four hours (walking downhill is much easier) and then drove into Pemberton for a late lunch. ...before it started again and kept up all night. We hung out for a bit in the evening... We got our tents up and managed to get inside shortly before the pouring rain started. With the campsite almost in our sight, the pouring rain finally overtook us. We had to scramble up really steep hillside to find a tree large enough to provide any shelter. Hahaha. I showed Grant my jar of Indian Clay I'd bought and he wanted to try it out. Our life is basically Peep Show but with two of Jeremy. Jury's still out about whether or not they make you look tres cool or not. (Grant's face in the background. Haha). Very thankful for this guy. ...and when we got out of the movie, the streets of New York were practically deserted as well and... On Sunday morning Meredith, Grant and myself... Always lovely to see you, Caitlin! We took the A out to Beach 66. On February morning, I got up early to wish this guy a safe trip back to Vancouver! ...take a group picture with the auto timer! Perfect! Grant and I got up early on Sunday, picked up a ZipCar around the corner from my place... Early on Monday morning, Grant arrived on the red eye from Vancouver. He dropped his bag off at our apt and we... Here's to ten years of Halloweens! No dice! We ended up walking back to the East Village... Congrats, other Meredith! Let's hear it for internet strangers! After party at our place! Thanks again so much for having me out! Thanks for having me, bud! Awesome dinner party! Thanks, Grant & Aki! Right around midnight, we got our winter gear on... Thanks so much for having me again, Grant & Aki! I had an amazing time! Auto timer! Buddies. ...we were both starting to regret our decision to wear shorts. Hahah. So relaxed and natural! Then later that afternoon, we caught the bus up to Whistler! ...we strolled around... Back on the road... ...FOR ADVENTURE! A little before 5pm, I packed up all my stuff and went to wait for the bus back to Vancouver. Thanks for everything, Grant! I had an awesome time! Grant, Matt and me. ...hot tub we could "borrow!" Stationary tricks! Satisfied pizza customers. Grant and me! After eating, I stopped off to rent gear... Later that night we met up with David on the street and went to dinner! So I handed the bottle back over to Grizz and let him show off the magic! On Sunday afternoon, Grant came over and showed me how to use a knife to saber open a bottle of champagne! The van ride home! A little before 1am, the bar announced last call! ...but even he had to eventually give me a little lovin. OMG, this photo makes me LOL on so many levels. I love how Grant's covering his mouth. That's because he knows that if he makes so much as a peep, I'll spring awake with the quickness and swat him right in the bean bag. I also love this photo because it looks like I'm dead and I can already envision my own funeral where my friends will be pulling this same exact bullshit next to my open-casket. (And Meredith will probably be the accomplice that takes the photo. Just like she did here!) ...guess who decided to sneak over and brain me! Hahaha. I love this photo! I thought I was so funny for doing the whole "flex-down while ironing" thing until I looked at the photo later and realized the reason Meredith was laughing so hard was because Grant had managed to brain me in the background. ...while wearing only towels and/or underwear and then feel each other muscles without it being gay?
