Grant was in town visiting from he and Aki's new home in Whistler, BC (that's in Canada) so we all went over to Fatty's for a backyard BBQ! Here's David, Grant and the Fatty (who's clearly getting ready to do something inappropriate/gay with that ear of corn).
Dude, you gotta love the Fatty! Check him out here doing the old "I will shoot you with METAL!" move that he probably saw Billy Sheehan do in a Mr. Big DVD box set that he probably totally owns. Hahaha. SOOO GOOD!
The party settled in around him as he donned his KINGLY TIARA, and anxiously waited for him to start ordering people to do all sorts of terrible and wonderful things! But after a couple of decidedly non-action-packed moments had passed, it became apparent that we had a SHY KING on our hands!
Yay, it's November! On Friday night, we went to see Fiasco play a show at Crash Mansion. Crash Mansion has one of the best sounding rooms in downtown NYC, but the crowd there is always a little...
Siege and I drove over to their new apartment in the moving truck. When we arrived, we found a whole bunch of new people who had showed up to help unpack!
The tension in the room was unbelievable. (PS - If, perchance, you ever find yourself anywhere in the vicinity of Fatty, and you also, perchance, decide to take out your camera and take a picture and Fatty is not in the frame, there's is a 100% chance that he will lean into the frame at the last second and make an awesome face.)
This is a step that you only need to take if you have a friend named "The Fatty" that happens to have a birthday right before you leave town. Since we do, we made sure that we took the Fatty out to PUMPS in Bushwick to celebrate his birthday with some shady-ass noody bar action!
We also got him some birthday lotto scratchers! We are the best friends ever! (Hey, at least we didn't vandalize his home this year). Happy Birthday, Fatty!
Turns out, they were promoting the release of their upcoming album Poison'd, that's entirely comprised of (shitty) cover songs. Ugh, it was awful. Poison, you broke my 7th-grade heart.
...and were picked up by Fatty's little brother, Andy. (aka - "Little Fatty"). And what is the reason for this Tuesday night pilgrimage to the fine, south shore of Long Island?
Monday was Memorial Day and a bunch of us went to brunch at La Palapa. Meredith showed off her tongue tricks. Here's her world-famous "I can make my tongue into a bowl." Which was followed by...
Inspired by the madness of the Priestbird show, a bunch of us decided to make some music of our own (er, sort of) at karaoke later that night. Here's the Fatty kicking some SUPER OLD SKOOL Jovi with "Runaway."
...don't forget, back in the late 80s, Fatty (fourth from left - check out THAT MANE!) was the main ax-player in Nasty Magic, the sickest metal band in the entire greater-New Milford area of Connecticut!
Which means everyone was drunk enough to play SHAKE FACE! (Which is where a person relaxes their face and then shakes their head back and forth as hard as they can!) Here's Fatty's shake face! Take one!
Just because there's champagne doesn't mean Fatty's gonna give up his Smirnoff Ice! (PS - Check out Grant in the background giving Fatty the "Flying L for Loser." Hahahah)
And thirty seconds later....viola! The Fatty (who's at least 6'3") was there on the TV laughing his Fatty-laugh and standing next to the girl to show that she was taller than him.
Siege gave us all awesome, limited-edition signed prints! Fatty got this portrait of himself (that was an out-take from Fiasco's first band photo shoot that Siege did).
