After coming back from visiting his family late on Sunday night, Doug stayed at our place one last night before heading back to Finland! Saying goodbye to Meredith & Maddy. Friday was Doug's last morning staying with us. We send Maddy in to wake him up! Haha. Birthday friends who came out late on a Wednesday on short notice! ;) We found a fire pit near the barn and got ourselves a nice campfire going. ...and a whole roomful of people he knew yelled SURPRISE! ...head to a bar right down the street to meet up with these two to see.. Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel for an early night jammy party. ...over to the hotel to meet up with Amanda! Amanda had been in Hong Kong and when she'd heard that we were going to be in the Philippines, we'd planned to meet up! Private room at Sing Sing on a Saturday night. Prime time! Ok, I'll admit it... Pile on! For our last evening in town, we went out to an awesome Mexican dinner with my parents and Bruce and Elyse! Jump kick for joy! OMFG, Quinn, Karen, Gurj and Sarah came in one of the best GROUP COSTUMES I've ever seen: the In Living Color FLY GIRLS . Ahahahahahah. That makes Meredith Sexy Fire Marshall Bill? On Saturday morning, we packed up the snooch, hopped in a cab to the Port Authority... ...to meet up with Clayton to see Cave of Forgotten Dreams in 3D! UGLY FACE VERSION! So much goodness! Auto-timer to get myself in! ...at Cherry Tavern. Casual babeness. Later that night we went over to vBar for Carol's going away party! Such a fun crowd. Thanks! Solid showing for 2am. Not one, but TWO king cakes! Happy birthday, you two! A little after midnight, Amanda came over and Mer got dressed up for the party (holy moly!). Walking back to our apartment; arms laden with presents. (PS - Babes!) Make a wish! Box o' birthday cupcakes! I got home just in time to give Meredtih a hand cutting up the homemade FRUIT LEATHER she'd made with her food dehydrator! He made an entire bed canopy out of string and fallen tree branches he found while walking around. Big dreamers need jumbo dream-catchers. ...we went over to the West Village... Here we go! (PS - Jared's expression in this photo makes me laugh so hard). ...Eastern European establishment. After we'd finished shooting with Junior, we raced back up to the roof to take advantage of the gorgeous sunset. ...one of my favorite shots! Meredith's last day of surfing! We made it back to the house in time to catch high tide. Meredith posing with her board. (Holy moly). On Tuesday morning, we took a day off from surfing (to rest our sore bodies and bruised bellies!) and took a ride into the nearby city of Leon for the day. During low tide, we decided to explore the beach in the other direction. Peter & Mer. Ready to surf a slightly bigger break. 11am ...you can pretty much pose her however you want. Right before 1pm we spotten Ellen! Later that evening, we went out to visit Gurj and Jared in Queens and hand-painted signs to cheer Ellen on in during the marathon tomorrow! Costume buddies. They were filming three different episodes so there were nine couples in total. Here's us after we got separated with the other two couples we'd be appearing on an episode with! All packed up and ready to head home! Thanks again to Jenny for suggesting the trip and organizing the weekend! Finally got it in shot # 3! Later that afternoon, the seven of us loaded ourselves into the family van we'd rented for the weekend... Look at us having breakfast together just like normal people. Meredith's eyes really bring out the ocean. ...the beach! ... PIRANHA 3D! Adorableness. ...and got off at Brooklyn Bridge ...and had a couple of snacks while we waited... On the way to the dog park, I made everyone stop and pose. Haha.
